One of the things I love about my GTS is that when you drive with the windows open there is no wind inside the cabin. Can anyone who has had both a GTS and a newer Coupe comment as to whether the new body style has the same windless feel as the old body? Same? Better? Worse?
A 30 rwhp penalty from 3.55 gears!!! No wonder my car has weak bragging numbers on the dyno? Assuming your cars are otherwise identical that is a full 5% difference.
Jeebus Fikse: modded new ACR, GT-R daily driver, now a TT Gallardo - can you possibly make the rest of us feel any more...
I usually chime in when there is a post about the Edlebrock headers. When I bought my car used it had a set on it. The mid-flanges (the ones discussed above that are in the middle of the header tubes) were warped horribly and had blown out the gaskets. I've known the Belangers for years and live...
It seems to me that you Gen III guys (maybe Gen II guys also? - a GTS with a Gen IV engine sounds sweet!) who spend $20k building up an engine might do better transplanting in a Gen IV unit? No?
Mostly color in my case:
Wrinkle grey on the rocker covers, intake manifold and PCM cover with cowl piece painted to match body (sorry for strange color of these shots - too blue)
Smooth tubes are also wrinkle grey powder coat (dang I need to clean up that throttle position sensor harness...
If they would have had the nads to do a do a .64 6th gear to go with that .80 5th and thrown some some 3.73s in the rear the 2010 Viper would be the greatest American car ever built (which would own the ZR-1 to 200 mph).
being winched on to a flatbed. Northbound 101 in the east Scottsdale area (actually on an Indian reservation). Car was not hurt very badly, but of course if the hood was hurt it is probably a total. It is always sad to see a Gen II in distress. Anyone here on the board? Wonder if he got bit by...
What I do not understand is if paxtonized Gen IIIs run 600 rwhp on stock bottom ends, why would you need to build the bottom end to make 600 rwhp. Surely higher boost normally aspirated is easier on the engine that boost?
Which in a 1997 is probably the o-rings in the system - particularly the ones sealing the hard lines that attach to the condensor radiator in front of your engine coolant radiator. My car would not hold a charge when I bought it used. I read on this forum that the early Gen II o-rings had issues...
You are looking for a puffy spun ceramic blanket material called Cer-Wool. It is used to insulate kilns and equipment in the steel making industry. Sean Roe used to sell kits of it to wrap the exhaust inside the sills. I found that yes it does help with heat, but the flip side is it helps retain...
This is what Lou did for me years ago: he took a stock set of cats and modded them to have 3" inlets and 3" oulets. The system uses two 3" ID straight through mufflers on each side so the only thing between the exhaust valves and the tips is the stock cat media. I personally think it is...
Re: An accusation without basis
Wow this is getting crazy. I AM NOT A TROLL, I AM COURTEOUS and other than a few sharp comments on the politics forum I am a well behaved member of this community. Three times, on three different occassions, I went to the search function and received a message...
For archival purposes: power window switch / PWR switch / part number
This is one of the two single momentary switch for a 1998 that goes in the center console
Mopar part Number: 4685434 $30.45
NAPA Part Number: 7306644 $26.61
Neither sources had it in stock so it had to be ordered. Thanks...
I am very proficient with the search function, just not when I hit the [SEARCH] link and get a notice that says "you are not authorized to use this function." I only know what I see and experience. I don't slam board members or tell people their cars look stupid or the new mod they did is dumb...
