Sunday 04-06-03 drive in Los Angeles

Matt: I'll be at the Spring Fling on Sunday. If you see a tall goofy looking Asian guy with a military haircut, gray hair & a mustache, it'll be me. Unfortunately, the Viper is not out of the shop yet. Brad

Sunday 04-06-03 drive in Los Angeles

Matt: I'll be out there on Saturday with some Mopar buddies. I probably won't be showing my car, so look around for a blue/white GTS in the parking lot. If we miss eachother, Henry has my email address. We can find some other excuse to do a cruise or hook up. Brad

Sunday 04-06-03 drive in Los Angeles

Matt: Have you ridden or driven a Snake yet? If my car gets out of body shop prison soon, maybe we can hook up at some event and take you for a spin. I'd love to the your 512 BB one day. If you are a Mopar fan, the Spring Fling Car Show is coming up next weekend at Woodley Park in Encino. Its...

Sunday 04-06-03 drive in Los Angeles

I wish that I could make this cruise. Unfortunately, my GTS is in body shop prison for another week of delays. Keep us posted on future events. I'm glad to hear that you got a good taste of what car guys do for eachother. I've dona couple of Santa Barbara runs with some of you guys and the...

Poll- Do you have bubbles in your paint, and what kind of wax was used?

Wax and polish have nothing to do with bubbling. Bubbling comes from poor prep work.

San Diego Meet this Sunday 3/23 (THIS WEEKEND!)!!!

Sorry, won't be making it down for this one. It's my daughter's 6 year birthday party, and my GTS is still in body shop prison. It would've been out if the gathering were the following weekend. Have fun! Brad

SAN DIEGO BBQ fun Get-together (we're the best, eh?!)

Re: SAN DIEGO BBQ fun Get-together (we\'re the best, eh?!) Mike: Let me know the details. I can probably find a couple more Snakes to cruise down if the weather is nice. I'm getting my GTS out of the body shop around this date, so I'll be itching for a drive. 4 months without my car has...

SAN DIEGO BBQ fun Get-together (we're the best, eh?!)

Re: SAN DIEGO BBQ fun Get-together (we\'re the best, eh?!) Is this just for San Diego folks or are SoCal guys included? I would be interested if my Snake is out of the body shop by then. Brad

Chrysler Neighborhood Care in Irvine, Ca

They seem to be one of the last Viper qualified dealers around. I've been to Glen Thomas and Dodge World (in Torrance) and they were lost when it came to Vipers. Neighborhood Service seems to be qualified, but they have had problems resolving my detonation, engine heat and engine surge issues...

    Carbon fiber smooth tubes?

You just need to make sure that there is enough slack in the rubber or urethane ends of the tubes that connect to the throttle bodies and the airbox. That's why I use turbonetics tubes. Kent, I have heard of damage ocurring from cutting tubes too short exactly down the alley that you speak of...

    Do ALL Viper owners use...

You get exactly what you deserve if you put any squeegy type blade on your paint! I use a small shop vac and cotton terry towels.

    cross drilled rotors??

These are the same people who designed the last egeneration braking system that sucked. The rotors on the last generation brakes were not designed for cooling, but for torsional stiffness under extreme heat. The air flow of the OE brakes were terrible. I don't put much credibility in the guys...

    Daily Driver Viper Owners?

I have driven my GTS everyday for more than 5 years that I have owned it. It's not very fun in heavy stop and go traffic, but has been very reliable (considering that it is a very high performance car). These cars are so rare that people get a real kick out of seeing them on the road during...

Mumford and Viper wins Magazine Shootout.

Congrats Paul on winning this contest and beating my buddy Mani with the Supra. I know that he is looking forward to the next contest. I told him that he needs to get John Archer to set up his chassis and suspension. You have proven time and time again that driver skill and chassis and...

    Paxton S/C Update

I visited Paxton at SEMA, and they wouldn't know an intercooler if it hitthem in the head. Seriously, they don't do any of their development with intercoolers, and they couldn't recommend anyone's intercooler to use with their system. I was not impressed with them at all.

    Clutchless transmission?

Are you referring to something like a Quaife or Hewland sequential tranny? If so, they are not synchromeshed trannies, they are straight cut dog gears (which makes them very impractical for the street). It is far from being an automatic tranny. All of the serious Le Mans and ALMS teams use...

Need some info on CALIFORNIA cars

Mike: I heard the CA delay wasn't from the CA cert, but because the SRT-10 requires 93 octane gas. Of course CA has 91 octane crap. I have not been able to confirm this, but it makes better sense than anything else I've heard. Brad
