I do use that stuff. That's not the problem. The problem is trying to stuff the boot along with the plug down that metal tube to make contact with the spark plug.
I'd recommend Stoptechs for brakes on all 4 corners. Huge difference versus stock. They stop on a dime, are easy to bleed & maintain. The only problem is if you drag race & want to use Purner's they won't fit. Had to sell mine & just use the BFG drag radials. Good luck on your search!
On my first 2 sets of Magnecors the boots were cracked & melted. Then I put on the Mopar ones with boots & they didn't get cracked or hard but are very hard to get on & off ( I check my plugs alot ) with those boots. I'm in the middle of winter so my car won't be out until April...
Re: UPDATE: The Spring Run Out East 4/24/04 GREAT EVENT!!!
I'll think about it but that's a long haul to get there, then cruising , then another 4 hours back. Sounds a little brutal to me even in a Viper.
Right now I'm using the MOPAR Performance Blue wires with those bootys on. Real pain to get on & off. I've already fried 2 sets of Magnecors. So far that combo with MOPAR works. I obviously have headers & stock heat shields but it's like an oven under there, actually hotter. Question is...
Re: UPDATE: The Spring Run Out East 4/24/04 GREAT EVENT!!!
Could you give me a town so I can do a mapquest to see how far that is from me? I would be interested if it's not too far! I'm only getting between 10 to 13 mpg so I'll have to watch for gas stations! :D
Yea, I hear you! Mine goes back on insurance April 1 & I'm counting the days. There's only so many fluids you can change, & buffing/waxing you can do to a car! :D Next project I'm starting now is installing an Alpine DVD/CD etc head unit with a motorized screen. It'll give me something...
Does anyone know if they ( I think AEM ) released the dual channel wideband O2 sensors with guage for the Viper yet? Very interested in one! Must run more boost! :D Thanks!
The one corner of my 1996's Chrome gas cap cover is peeling, like it was clear coated. So I took it off & took it to my local paint shop & he said it's a process not painted. I think he said they are annodized & he can't fix it. So I looked into buyng a new one & that costs...
Kyle,
I talked to them & they do not carry or make an alternator for the GTS coupe. He said it's a very odd hodgepodge of parts Dodge used to make the stock one & if they did make one I would have to do some severe modding to get it to work.
I guess I'll just keep my stock one & hope...
I am looking for a higher output??? alternator. The reason why is the high draw from my new humongous gas pump, my new camera system, stereo system, PIAA lights & computer & etc. I'm not having problems per say but don't want to take any chances with too much draw. Can any one recommend...
Re: oil change $\'s
I have a lift in my basement garage. You're welcome to come up here & use my lift to change it for free. Just bring oil & filter. It'll take less then 1/2 hour.
Re: AEM\'s Wide-band with Gauge Released Next Month
When will the one for the Viper be released? Can it monitor both sides of the exhaust ( passenger & driver side ) assuming you have a sensor installed in both?
I have the Stoptech on all 4 corners & it's night & day difference from the stock brakes. The car stops on a dime! I never yet experienced any fade with them. I just changed brake fluid today as part of my year end maintenance and they were a piece of cake to bleed. Highly recommend them...
I saw a while back posted on this board of a video of a guy racing showing the view from the inside but with what gear he was in, what RPM, MPH, etc recorded right on the video in real time which was way cool! Does anyone know who makes that system & where I can get one? Thanks!
I am looking everywhere for a unit that will fit/replace my stock cd/radio in my 96 GTS Viper. I want it to be a computer/windows-based, CD/DVD player & navigation system. I did find one but the screen was separate. I don't know where I'd mount a separate monitor. I would like it to be...
Well I put the crappy composite ones back & tightened the crap out of them. So far no leaks but it's only a matter of time. So per my tuner I bought 2001 stock header gaskets & have them ready to put on in case. WOW what a difference in material. Solid 2 piece metal. They should work...
