WOWZER, Wifey pregnant, car has to go....

You are the opposite of me! I bought my Viper 2 weeks before my wife delivered our first child. She had a lot of trouble getting into it 9 months pregnant! We now have two girls 4 and 6... and still have " Raaa Raaa Rhummmm" as our daughters call her.

    Edelbrock Headers?

Having looked at headers for awhile, I am seriously considering the Edelbrocks. They are CARB legal, ceramic coated, have flex connectors and have custom heat shields. Other than the ceramic coating, I don't think any other header has those features.

B&M / Hurst Shifter Owners - Feedback please

I thought the Hurst had different threads than the stock shifter? Does the Mopar version have different threads or did I hear wrong?

B&M Short Shifter or stick with a shorter shaft??

Is the B & M shifter threaded for the Stock/Gripper/ First Strike knobs?

crackle sound from the speakers only at idle

Probably the sparkplug wires. My Mopar replacement wires do this as they are low resistance wires. Stock wires and other higher resistacne wires don't cause it.

Best brake pads with the least dust?

Ok, I am looking for the opposite. Want a pad that can stand up to the track but could care less about dust. Have a StopTech front setup. Have tried the included Axxis Ultimates (roasted them on the track) and the StopTech Club race pads (also overheated at the track). Was told the Club Race...

    Dodge Viper Fan Control Kit

Depending on where you live, you may or may not need the fan. I got one as here in Sacramento the temp often exceeds 100 in the summer and the fan will run for quite awhile. My battery did go shortly afte installing it but the replacement battery did fine with it. The fan control eventually died...

    ricer/ghetto glider incounter

I like seeing kids into cars, even if the look is not my taste. I figure these kids are the same as the original hot rodders, taking the cars of the day and modding them on a low budget, and being looked down upon by old folks with more money who think they are too loud, drive to fast, too...

    Upgrading brakes GTS-96

Tom. What were your final results with using the 38mm rear caliper with the StopTech fronts? It seems I could still use a little more rear bias and have been wondering about that.

    Upgrading brakes GTS-96

You missed another advantage of the StopTech system which is better cooling with the two piece Aerotech rotors and cooler running calipers. Both Tom's rear rotors and the StopTech system are great additions and considering the cost of two piece, vaned rotors, the StopTech front system is a good...

Paxton VS. Roe Which is the better for my application?

Does having to replace the front cross member to install a Paxton system mess up the handling? It seems the replacement part it far less sturdy than the stock piece.

Anyone have a step by step instruction for replacing springs?

I have used this spring compressor to remove my springs a few times. I had to grind the fingers a bit to grip the springs and you need to remove the hinge pin to get it on. Time consuming but it works: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=43753

I raced a Carrera GT this morning

Saw one in Sonoma a few months ago. Looks like a streched boxster. Impressive weight and brakes but for the price I would want something that looks good....

Help! Re: Random Tech Cats need pic of before and after....

I had mine welded on the car. The welders at Midas had no problem doing it. When I removed it later, I noticed they had gotten a good weld all the way around. You could have it tack welded on the car, remove it and then have it welded. I don't think clamps alone will keep it stable enough.

Viper GTS Vs. Porsche Twin Turbo

From spending a lot of time on the 911 boards I found that most TT owners are too afraid of breaking something to do aggressive launches. Apparently the clutch/transmission is not strong enough to stand up to repeated high rpm launches.

Shoe on the Other Foot. In AWE of another car - MB McLaren SLR

The only uglier car I have seen in that price range is the Porsche Carrera GT. Saw one today on the way to Sonoma. Must have the same design philosophy as MB as it just looked like a streched Boxster with a ricer wing... :(
