Re: HELP - Those who have adjusted stock Koni\'s!!!
I originally adjusted my Konis to 1 1/4 at all four corners but it was a bit stiff for the street. Went to 1 turn at the rear and it seems better. Stock springs
HP/liter means about as much as HP/wiper fluid volume to me. Never have seen any value in that measure. What is important is HP/lb of engine weight or HP/total engine volume. What would you rather have: a 300 hp 2 liter motor that weighs 400 lbs or a 300 hp 4 liter motor that weighs 300 lbs???
I can't imagine how you could ever compress the springs in place. Per the factury manual, put the lower shock bolt in place. Then using a long pry bar, pry downward on the upper control arm till you can slip the upper shock into place. This worked well for me the few times I have done it.
Re: Any words of wisdom for driving in the rain.... other than
I have driven my GTS in the rain many times. It is actually a pretty good car for winter (snow free) driving. The windshield is a steep rake that the water usually just sheds off it at speed. The wipers are the coolest on any...
In high school I was driving home from a friends house in a bad mood. Had a '69 Mustang Fastback with a 351 4bbl and 4 speed. As I pulled out from a side street onto a 4 lane divided road I had left my high beams on. A car on the opposite road flashed me and, being in a bad mood I swerved toward...
It should be 7 years from the original date of sale. My 97 GTS was built in 11/97 but was first sold in 3/98. 7 year warranty (1465$, 50$ deductable from Stevens Creek Dodge in San Jose, CA) ends in 3/05.
Got my GTS 2 weeks before our first daughter. Was a great help to get her to sleep many evenings as she had colic. By age 18 month she was addicted and loved to ride in the car. I have had her cry because we had to take my wife's Volvo wagon rather than "Raaa Raaa Rummm" as she calls the Viper...
Try this thread on Ferrari chat. I believe that many 95's had valve guide issues that are solved by pulling the engine and replacing them. The main issue with the 355's (as it is for the 360's) is that they are all underpowered!
Viper23 never asked for my CC# or pushed the sale. Only quoted me a price. It seems to me from RMS's post that there was a deal that was "between my company and the end customer" "which now I can say is wrong". I don't think we will find out the whole story till RMS is up front with us.
Why use Motil for the clutch? Does't seem like a high wet boiling point is needed for the clutch. I use Motil 600 RBF for brakes and Valvoline Synthetic for clutch.
This is from the Stoptech literature for front 332mm upgrade:
Test Results:
• 60 - 0 113 feet versus 155 feet (source R&T 7-98)
• 80 - 0 202 feet versus 278 feet (source R&T 7-98)
• 100 - 0 315 feet versus 353 feet (source MT 8-00)
I have the front 332mm size and love it too. The two wheel setup stops as fast as the 4, but doesn't look as cool. You can also get a 332mm size 4 wheel setup (not listed on website) which should allow the use of skinnies up front without swapping calipers.
Looks great. Did you look into putting lighting in the floor under the lift? Seems it would be nice for working on the lifted vehicle. If I only had the space!
From a dead stop, if the driver drops the clutch at high rpm, it would get a jump and then be quickly devoured by a Gen II Viper. Most owners will not launch like this out of fear of breaking something. If they don't do a hard launch it won't be close.
So let us know.....What happened!
I love the wipers! Never seen anything like them on any car ever... Very cool. Never had any problem using them but I only turn them on when I need them :)
