I ran my car with NO air filter for a couple days and couldn't tell a seat of the pants difference. Low restriction? How about NO restriction! (clear sunny minimal dust days)
Re: Bat\'s Smoke Tails, Spring Caps and Tinted Windows(PICS)
Didn't have to remove any bolts. I used the spring compressors. VERY DANGEROUS! Do not try this at home. There's a whole thread about this under 'has anyone tried spring lowering caps'
Re: Bat\'s Smoke Tails, Spring Caps and Tinted Windows(PICS)
I've seen that it takes some time and hitting a few bumps for the springs to 'settle' after installing the caps. When I first dropped the car, I re-measured and the car was HIGHER than before!
Downtown Greenville SC in the silver Viper. Right in front of the Bi-Lo Center, just past the LEC (Law Enforcement Center) I line up next to a GNX. Then a Vette pulls up on the other side. Three wide at the red light we all start revving....My buddy is yelling GO FOR IT! The light turns green...
Funny culture comment about the Europeans! Where F1 goes, they follow. BUT, when you rent a car in Europe, it's tough to find an automatic. When you rent a car in the states, it's almost impossible to find a stick! Go figure. Ever seen a fully loaded Mercedes Vito mini-van with a six-speed stick...
British buff mag CAR reports that the Chrysler Firepower concept car is looking more like a legitimate production possibility.
With speculation rampant that Dodge is going to give the Viper a serious power boost (think 650 HP) for 2008 -- an idea bolstered by sightings of Diamondback Viper test...
Sound familiar??
Diana T. Kurylko Automotive News / August 21, 2006
With sales of its Cayenne SUV slowing and a restyled model on the way, Porsche has decided to skip the 2007 model year rather than offer run-out specials.
Dealers must sell 2006 models of the Cayenne until the 2008 model...
When I drive my car in the morning, I sometimes get a lo tire warning. When the tires build a little heat it goes off. I've always had the trick window problem....still do. I know, not a coupe. Same systems on all SRT Vipers.
Snakes on a Plane = Stupid movie.
Snakesonaplane = slightly retarded
If you read my post above, I said I averaged 115 over 8 hours. Does this concern you, dad?
My point was, there is a safe time and place for 'advertureous' driving. The Autobahn in Germany was that place. Just like skydiving...
I recently drove 120+ mph for about 3 hours straight (Ok, I slowed to 110 a couple times) Last summer it was an 8 hour drive at an average of 115.
Top speed in the Viper? 175 before I got sceered. Of going to jail.
It's a given (based on the pictures) that the new Viper hood will weigh a lot less than the current hood. Just look at the size of the holes! DC will remove tons of weight just by making the car look like swiss cheese!
The good thing is that it looks like the new hood will fit earlier SRT-10...
What's really stupid is for ANY car company to send out a prototype these days and NOT expect to see pictures on the internet!
There's only 2 possibilities
-They wanted it to be seen or
-They aren't good at camo
A red painted camo hood, custom made with the extra height to clear the new...
Re: Cosco\'s gas now as 10% ethanol, is this OK to run in the Viper?
I guess we don't grow enough corn in the Carolinas. Our main farm products are tobacco, soy beans and peaches. I don't think we'll even see a tobacco-gas blend, although chain smokers would love it. Peach-gas would smell nice...
Re: Cosco\'s gas now as 10% ethanol, is this OK to run in the Viper?
Won't ethanol eat the seals in the fuel system? Maybe only above a certain % ? At what point does it become unacceptable?
