    Nose Bra

I have one but only use it on long trips. Vipers are just too exotic looking to cover up. Then there's the road grit that acumulates under the mask which precipitates the very thing they are intended to prevent. Think of using a front end mask as safe sex (I despise the term bra...

    INSURANCE

Allstate gave me a slow (20 yrs) and steady screwing. No claims, accidents, tickets, etc. Just kept raising my rates. Nationwide wasn't much better. Chubb lowered my premiums by nearly 50%. Gave me a chub.

    Stolen Car Cover

Probably some scumbag non-Viper owner looking to sell it for a quick twenty bucks. I have the locking style DC cover and I use the lock all the time. What a freakin world!

    Cam Upgrade; how aggressive

Do any/all of the above recommendations assume the use of stock heads, intake rummers, exhaust maniolds, etc.? Optimum gains would be realized in conjunction with a performance package containing at least a cam and heads.

    Damage from Wheel Hop?

The Viper's multi-link rear suspension was designed for road racing, not drag racing. Wheel hop is an inherent characteristic. Stay in it and a broken axle shaft will sooner or later result.

    engine drain plugs

I have tons of hands on experience and mine were so tight, I decided it was far too risky to try more aggressive removal methods. So I'll change the coolant once a year; no big deal. If the engine were sitting on a stand upside down, removal would be far more achievable. As far as a brass...

    Advice on car sale.....

I believe the intent was to invest 3 to gain 6 so net +3. Be that as it may, the market plain sucks right now. I'm yet to encounter a serious buyer; just a few tire kickers that are looking to steal the car. I called a very well known NJ dealer about trading for a Gen III and I never even got...

WTF!!!! No room to remove oil filter after 998 Recall. HELP!!!

I'm sure glad I had the Wizard do mine (998 only). We had that very conversation about how some dealers were installing the reinforcements backwards making it virtually impossible to remove the oil filter. The Wizard did the job in one day and the workmanship is absolutely perfect. If you...

To tint or not to tint ... Post pictures please

Moderate tinting looks great and reduces interior heat. If you're about to be stopped by the police, just roll both windows down and you won't have a problem. I would post pics but I've given up trying. My car looks totally awesome.

Rear shock remove & replace, is it really that complicated?

On my ACR I'm able to load the lower control arm, then unload the "adjustable" spring (Koni 2812). So you're right. In the case of a non-adjustable spring, I would let the suspension hang for removal, install the new shock/spring, load the suspension, then tighten the mounting bolts.

Rear shock remove & replace, is it really that complicated?

Raise the car, load the lower control arm, remove the shock, install and tighten the new shock. Simple.
