    HELP - No 5 volt to map sensor code P1296 - VEC1 issue?

    My 97 GTS is throwing the no 5 volt to map sensor and I was wondering if this could be related to wiring the VEC1. May be something different, but my viper tech wants to looks a the VEC1 wiring diagram. Anyone have a similar issue? Thanks for the help....Kurt

    2001 - New car?

    Item #1: Correct, as far as I know. I bought my 97 GTS which had an inservice date of 10/99 and therefore was under the "new car waranty". At the end of the 3 year new car warranty, you can extend the warranty and get the better extended warranty! Hope this helps.
