    Difference btwn 96 and 97 GTS

    My brother had a 96 GTS for awhile and had issues with a window glass rattle. Seems like I read about this being an issue with the 96's. Don't have any problem with the windows in my 97 GTS. 97 GTS has a know issue of a weeping oil pan (replaced mine under warranty). Hope this helps!

    VEC1 settings question

    I ended up with 12/-16 working the best for me. Remember, these settings are year specific and will vary some!! I made around 10-12 runs over about 1 1/2 hours. Started fresh at 0/0 and went up from there. Once closer to the actual settings, I went one click at a time, setting the low end...

    VEC1 settings question

    I went to 21St Century to dyno my 97 after putting on my VEC1. I decided to rent it for an hour, which gave me plenty of time to "test and tune". Worked great and I highly recommend you do this if you have the time!

    Agree with Fred!! Having owned a 94 RT and now a 97 GTS, there is a huge difference in Gen I and Gen II cars. Dollar wise, the Gen II makes more sense. Let me know how I can help.

    Speedometer help needed

    Had a similar problem and after replacing the speed sensor I still had the same problem. I noticed that we the speedo was acting up, hitting the turn signal would correct the problem. Ended up being a loose ground wire causing the problem - check it out!!!

    Tony, My understanding is that yes, the newer style key fob will work just fine with 96-98 Vipers!! Hope this helps. PS Is your 96 under factory warranty? Can't remember, but may have a suggestion if it is!!
