Here is the deal. I needed the nav/radio to be replaced under warranty on my wife's 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. The know had broken off. I went to five dealerships before I found one who would replace it under warranty. The first four said that a broken knob was not a defect and they...

Chrysler should think twice before selling off the viper as I will bet they will loose a ton of buyers who buy other Chrysler products besides the viper.

    0w40 or 10w30?

This question is for Woodhouse, Parts Rack, or Chuck Tator. A lot of viper owners who have a 2003 viper have asked if they should switch to the new 0-40 Mobil 1 spec. 2003 vipers call for 10-30. What is your opinion on this?

If you go to a detail shop they should know of a company than can repair cracks, tears, and holes in dashes, doors, and seats. I had one done on my Jeep last year and it cost $75.00. I could not see where it was repaired afterwords.

    6th gear question

This is just my opinion but why would anyone buy a viper and worry about the fuel mileage? I never use 5Th or 6Th gear as I want all the power and torque available for acceleration when on the highway. I personally don't care that I only get 15 mpg. if I was looking for fuel mileage I sure would...

    Ouch! That stick is hot!

The only solution I have found is to get yourself some black heat shrink tubing and shrink it around the shifter shaft with a heat gun.

High idling for a prolonged time.

Mine does that after sitting for the winter with a tank of stale fuel in it. As soon as I put in clean fuel the problem goes away.

I have been beating the Royal Purple drum for years. We run their products in everything form viper engines, transmissions, diffs to motorcycles and boat engines. in every case the engines run smoother, quieter, and cooler with almost zero oil consumption between oil changes.

HELP FUEP PREASURE READS 85 psi

As you "Stock" viper only has 3k miles on it I am not sure you are not reading the oil pressure gauge and thinking it is fuel pressure as vipers do not come from the factory with fuel pressure gauges. That is not to say that an aftermarket fuel pressure gauge was not installed. You might want...
