Gerald, I just tried it using the Viper Gallery too, and you are right, it is just as easy. The extra step getting set up to use this Gallery is compensated for by having all the uploaded pictures available for other VCA members to peruse. Here is a picture of Viper with a bit of her skirt...

    larger tires and rims

With less tire height, is the ride harsher? I have an opportunity to upgrade my '94 GT/10 from stock 17" rims and Pilot MXX3 tires to 18" or 19" rims. JonB says the 18" rim/tire combos are a direct swap out with no change, but they only have the no-change 19" rim and tire for the front. The 19"...

The Beast Came Unglued!!! What the heck happened?

Thanks for your observations Todd and Dean. I'll certainly have the alignment thoroughly checked and verified in the course of the repair. They are going to do that first before putting the quarter panel and rear bumper back on. BTW - It is rather amazing to see a Viper without it's skin on...

Need Gen I Right Rear Suspension Parts

Thanks Tomer, Called JonB at PartRack 360 837-3974 and he has the upper and lower control arms that I need used. He also has a BBS 18" Hubs and Pilot MXX3 Tires combo set that is very tempting... Hmmm? Curt

Need Gen I Right Rear Suspension Parts

Does anyone know a source of Viper Gen I right rear suspension parts? I had a minor encounter with a concrete center divider that gave my right rear wheel a push through the right rear quarter panel, leaving it slightly toed in. With the wheels off, the suspension parts do not show any obvious...

The Beast Came Unglued!!! What the heck happened?

Dear Forum, Thank you all for your feedback on what may have happened to me driving down the freeway 12/20/02. I think this must have been standing water, or a combination of hydroplaning, errant freeway grooves, and poor throttle control. I've heard other Viper drivers talk about "lift off"...

I love the way Forum members work together to get things solved. I've been wanting to upload pictures too. There may be other ways, using the VCA photo storage, but the Sony www.imagestation.com website works great (Thanks Nathan!). a. Just go to the www.imagestation.com site and...

Help! My door lock mechanism is stuck! What to do?

My HOW TO OPEN A LOCKED/JAMMED DOOR Procedure above has been updated with pictures. Thanks to the Forum advice on how to add pictures using the Sony www.imagestation.com website. Works great! Sincerely, Curt

    Body Shops in Southern California

Now there's another damaged Viper in the southern LA area that needs help. I had a meeting with the center divider and my right rear Friday morning on I-5 N, 1/2 mi south of Pico. I had the Viper transported to Barwick Dodge in San Juan Capistrano. They sent it next door to Specialized Coach...

Help! My door lock mechanism is stuck! What to do?

Mike, I have provided the pictures to the Forum managers. I hope they will add them to my letter, at least in the How-To section. Or if someone tells me how to do it, I'll add them. I thought for awhile, when working with the good (open) door that the problem was maybe not popper related, but...

The Beast Came Unglued!!! What the heck happened?

Thank you Viper drivers for your feedback -- especially nice to hear from other San Diego owners Paul and Greg. This is an amazing group! But I wish someone had done this before me and I could have read it on the forum about someone else's car and my baby were still in my garage (selfish). I've...

The Beast Came Unglued!!! What the heck happened?

Thanks for the feedback - not encouraging so far. Looks like I may have scr..ed the pooch on this one. If so, that is one FAST transition to shuffle board, but I would sure recognize that shudder warning next time. Can't measure the tread right now, but it looks like tread. I thought the tires...

The Beast Came Unglued!!! What the heck happened?

The Beast Came Unglued!!! What the heck happened? This letter is not going to please you, but think what I feel like… I’ve had my beloved stock red ’94 Viper for three months, and have put about 600 miles on it, including a lot of SoCal freeways, some dark and rain. It drives harsh and loud...

Help! My door lock mechanism is stuck! What to do?

HOW-TO OPEN A 94 VIPER DOOR THAT IS LOCKED/JAMMED CLOSED Shortly after buying my red '94 Viper (used), I read on the Viper Forum about the convenience of remote door poppers. I also read about problems users had had when they locked the doors manually with the toggle below the inside handles...

Help! My door lock mechanism is stuck! What to do?

Disregard my last post - I'm in. I took the passenger door lock out so I could examine it and found the "magic release tab". I made a little tool ("bent screwdriver") and used it to hit the magic tab on the locked drivers door and it popped open. I'm off to church now, but will finish tomorrow...

Help! My door lock mechanism is stuck! What to do?

Dear Mike and anyone who has worked with these door latches. I managed to get the inner door panel loose enough to reach around to the latch. I took the seatbelt real out so I have good access to the whole inner latch (by feel). I disconnected the lock bar at the latch, and can flip the lock...

Help! My door lock mechanism is stuck! What to do?

Thanks Mike, and to Chuck Tator in New York for about the same advice over the phone. He said I may need to tear out the door panel at the rear where the screws are hidden, then repair it later. I'm going to open up the right door too for reference and also to take the d#%$ locking bar out. I'm...

Help! My door lock mechanism is stuck! What to do?

HELP!!! Has anyone figured out how to get into a closed door? I had read this months ago with interest, but my Son just did the same thing with my 94. He manually locked the doors then later tried to open with the popper (without unlocking). The door won't open with popper or inside handle...
