I think and will mention it again the M&H Racemaster drag radials seem to be the current answer to launching. Far better than Micky Thompson's Run flats and even PS2's don't come into play if your serious about quick 60' times.
the other guy had a supercharged GTS nearly 900 hp to the wheels a real rocket .
I did a video of us racing. have yet to upload it I put it up on You Tube
Twister cool times. I went out to Infineon last night and ran 11.75 60' 1.71 119.75 1/4 There we three viper there last night which made for some side by side racing. I raced a 890 hp Novi supercharged GTs he ran 11.593@ 125.81 on ps2. I hope the new TB works out for you.
Porter cable orbital are pretty good. It really makes a difference polishing with a nice polishing pad. I have a black Viper that as you know you can stare light scratches into. It makes all the difference the world using a light cut then wax
Twister you know it's all about seat time. My M&H racemasters are a great tire. They really bite and you don't have to let so much air out of them thats slows you down at the trap. When I go to the line I line lock a short burn out to clean up the tires. Go to the staging light and line lock so...
Not so sure about that there just a high 11 sec car. I raced one at Infineon Dragstrip and he was not in front of me at the finish line. I am running a fairly stock gen 3 and ran 11.7. They are pretty quick with the 4wd but, I sent him home in the 2nd round.
If you use muratic acid to clean the floor just be sure to neutralize the acid before applying any coating with baking soda. To this day Stonhard is the best floor on the market. Bullet proof, pricey, proven.
I race nearly every wed and I just spray some detali spray on and wipe it off. As for rocks, most times the strip and the pit are pretty clean. I think rocks can be just about anywhere on the streets. A few weeks ago I ran over a 3/8 bolt and it ruined my rear tire. (500 to replace) So I think...
George glad to hear tht the headers worked out for you. The 3.55 should be a fun project as well and the Mopar Controller should make you faster. Looking forward to racing you again.
I have to agree with you on that. BBK is now fixed. When I had mine I sent it back and they sent me another or repaired one. They didn't get that one right either the butterflies were rubbing on one venturi it was a joke but, they seemed to get it right this time. I can't say for how long but...
I ran the BBK Throttle body today with my ported manifold, M & H racemaster drag radials. The BBK TB is finally fixed where the idle spring and shaft are correct and the idle is proper. I continually fart around with this car so it is hard to say if it's really faster slower or what. What I have...
B&M here never missed a shift..... from the top is the way I did it. The hardest part was working on it in the car as you know it's a tight fit. Another tip for reinstalling the bolts is to get a magnet to fit in your socket so you won't drop the bolt as you put it in place.
I had been using a set of MT drag radials. I thought they were a pretty good tire but, never cared for any drag radial on the street. Last night I went drag racing at Infineon in Sonoma and I had just purchased M&H Racemasters and had them set at 25.5 PSI These tires are incredible. I did a line...
I would keep the 3.55 and see how it works with the mods. I ran both love the 3.73 at the botom but, they run hotter and shorter between gears. If I was going to track it I would add a cooler. I run 3.55 Giken diff now and I love how well it performs. I guess it depends on the year also. Mine...
I have a Seibon hood on my 04. Here are my thoughts. It actually was a fairly good fit with some minor adjustments and it did look really cool as the CF was laid well. 1st, On the stock hood the mounting points are studs where the Seibon hoods have molded in the frame threaded nut. 2nd, I had to...
I would not run them on the street. I have driven to the strip with them on and thats all I needed to know. Really a different animal than PS2 . They run well hot but, .... Ran MT Drag radials to the strip also not as bad but, again really no handling. Just bought a set of M&H Racemasters have...
I had the Autoform one but, I sold it. I really liked the look it added to the car but, with a roll bar the top didn't fit anymore. To bad it looked realy nice all painted.
