Keeping the stainless steel pipes on my bike polished was always a chore until I decided to wrap a sock around the head of my old Craftsman detail sander. Works very well especially in tight spaces where no other polisher dare go. So today I tried it on my rockerbox (ooops, 'valve') cover. All...
PS Cap Cover
I prefer simple solutions too, so I sliced a section from a blown bicycle inner tube and placed it around the PS cap. There is plenty of grip against the reservoir, assuring no loosening. If I wanted to be super neat and tidy, I'd give it a tighter circumcision. :scared1:
You set the video standard Jay! Thanks so much. I did the R&R a couple of weeks ago upgrading the original 10 year old cables to NOS GTS-R Oreca's (thanks JonB). I was able to do it without removing the fan cover though and the hardest part was fitting the cables to the looms. I've been told...
Glad you and all involved with you are OK. Do tell us about the brake failure though and what the police investigation report concludes. Yours a non-ABS GTS?
Think I saw an unmolested, very low miles black & tan Gen 1 go for $42,750 or so on Mecum last weekend. It wasn't a live auction, so unsure when it really happened.
Often the decision to take the Viper or the other Dodge in the household hinges on whether heated seatst are needed that day. Other than that, the wife prefers the Viper experience (and I'm asked to assist her exit with a butt push).
I have zero track experience and envy what you all are doing. What do you recommend as the progression? Do I start with a beginner PDE NARRA event in my area? Next weekend's Viper Days event in Daytona doesn't have a learning class.
I know the link is mainly to align the clutch and brake pedal heights, but I'm most interested in its ability to shorten pedal throw. For those who have done this mod, is pedal travel noticeably affected?
Thanks!

And the incredible survivor McNish makes it out alive after this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jnibRyrK-o&feature=watch_response:omg: Was that a Viper yellow safety car?
Received a copy in the mail yesterday; chock full of great Dodge info, past to present. Several pages on the Viper including a great two-page photo of dozens of Vipers in nested semi-circular arrays. Also spotted what I think is the new Viper. Great copy. Anyone else get one? I understand it...
It is, but be cautious with it. The sprays typically use acetone as the solvent carrier for the silicone oil which, before it evaporates, will rapidly attack (dissolve) plastic surfaces. :omg:
Haven't had a key cut in eons, so I was amazed when I had my GenII Viper key duplicated at Wal Mart. It's all automated: computer reads (images) the key profile and cuts to that image. Minimal operator inovlvement and the key worked perfectly.
The most straight forward approach is to vacuum-drag it out through the overflow hose end disconnected from the radiator cap port. LIke most folks here, I have a Mity Vac hand setup to do that. Then insert a funnel into the hose and gravity fill the bottle with your mix of choice. I think I put...
