That looks bad A$$ man!! I love it. You did a great job from the looks of it. The polishing is just the best engine bling I think you can do to these GenIII engines. You open that hood "BAM"! Way to go man! How many beers did you down when you got done or during?:D
In all my modding I would recommend a good tune from DC Performance on your PCM and get the 02 sensors turned off and skip shift eliminated. Then take the saved money and get performance driving lessons (track that beast!!). I have found that adding power only makes you push the limits more and...
If I had to guess you have a header leak. Either the header gasket has broken down or the headers themselves have something going on. Are the bubbles near the lower part of the red valve covers? It would also hold that at WOT you would get a smell since your exhaust has no cats to get much back...
I think you may want to re-phrase the question..... "How long were you able to keep your car stock" :D It no doubt takes great restraint to leave these things stock.. I respect you stockers out there you have more will power than the rest of us:2tu:
I put my hood on with the help of my wife. It fits that well and that easy. 4 bolts and two ground wires with the pad. Change it out and adjusted in less than 1/2 hour. It's so easy a Caveman could do it:rolaugh: heheh Couldnt resist. If you buy and OEM hood and get it painted it should line up...
Tom I almost shed a tear that bad boy looks so good. I tried to copy the install out of the manual and ran into some probls on my laptop. It was trying to send you a 35mb file :) I am going to bring the CD to work and try from here and send you the install removal instructions. Dang that thing...
175 is what I use for road course. I would think 150 in the rears and lower the compression a little to get a bit more dig would help smooth out the launch.
Ok I got a notice back from somebody at the Mopar Nationals and he says (I quote)
"Yes, there is a Saturday only VCA package that can be bought at the gate. It get you and your Viper into the track plus lunch, the suite access and the dinner. $85, $60 for any additional people.
Jim"
So how...
Well um... I havent bought any tickets yet? Will that be a problem? I didn't now I could make it until yesterday. I can only come Saturday. If I can still get a ticket who do I contact?
Ok so Im going to risk sounding a bit foolish here but are we entering our cars into the mopar event or are we just parking in the general parking lot to go view the cars, races etc? Its hard to get much info from the mopar nationals website? Does the VCA have a place for us to bring the beasts...
If weather permits then I think Saturday will be my best bet to make it up for a day. I may pull off Friday though if Saturday ends up being a wash. I will call Jason and see where everyones at and meeting times, places etc. Hope to see yall up there.:2tu:
Hey AB
We need to get together sometime. You would enjoy seeing my gun collection. I suspect you might want to even borrow my Desert Eagle 44 or perhaps my custom sniper rifle? Going hunting or at least getting out into the field and blowing stuff up always helps me :D
That sounds like a lot of fun!! If I come up I will get info on a meeting address and time for Saturday. I can be there early or meet for breakfast etc then spend the day doing whatever it is people do up there :)
Hey DP. I have tried about everything short of a big custom box install to get good bass (sub) sound in the car. I have the answer though and you have experience. Get a 8"Bazooka tube and put it on the passanger floor. Face the speaker into the foot well and the thing will just blast! It...
What Viperx says is similar to what I do. 150psi all around (I have toms fill kit) and I do 2 clicks front and 3 back. Works very well for the track on my car. Hope that helps. On the street I keep it around 125psi and do 3 click all around makes for a very nice ride!
