OUCH!! Another ACR bites the dust! I like where they say "damage is to right side and is not that bad". This coming from the guys who are holding the roof in their hands. Was a nice car.
Re: The most valuable viper of all.....
If there was a final edition ACR that was built without the comfort group, that will be a prime candidate. INMO.
Bill,
I would definitely go for the ACR if you could find a clean one. The list on the package is 10k but in reality it is more like 5-6k on the resale market right now. For the 5k you will get all of the above mentioned items, a steal in my opinion. Plus you get the added benefit of the...
Not sure how dead your battery was when you started but if you have a Deltran unit and the battery was fairly weak then it should have been a lot longer than overnight for the green indication. Was the battery completely dead when you hooked it up? Also, how old is the battery?

Do a search on tender and they have them at a good price. These are the Deltran Battery Tender brand. The Jr model is 19.97 and the larger one is 34.97. Just need to be sure and order the 12v.
The Hemi has a special meaning for us old folks. I think Dodge knows exatly what they are doing marketingwise by bringing it back but I am not sure under current emissions restrictions it would be the right choice for the Viper. The V10 is definitely more exotic, and is turning out to be a...
VIP transport was who I used. I recommended them to someone else on the board and they were very pleased. Price was 750 fron IL to CT. My ACR was the cheapest car in the truck.
Garolittle,
Give Chuck Tator a call. If I remember correctly he has successfully had this replaced under warranty. I know you might not live nearby but maybe he can give you info on how to ensure the dealer replaces it under warranty.
Thanks for the replies. I was actually just looking to document the car and not actually bid on it. I have been collecting ACR info for a while and wanted to get the VIN to record it. The car does look pretty bad off and the details are real sketchy!
Re: QUICK REPLY
One thing that used to bug me was when the pulldown forum menu used to get hidden behind the banner ads. Great job putting it in the forefront it really makes it easier to jump around the forums. The new site is AWESOME!!

I sent the seller an email asking for the VIN but have not gotten a response. Does anyone know this car?
Cardude,
Come on its not that far! Plus you get to tell us how well the car handles in the snow. I know Chuck will be happy to discuss with you the adjustments that he recommends and what a fair price would be. Give him a buzz it will be worth the price of the call.
As everyone can see, totalling a Viper is not that hard to do (especially these days!). I am wondering how many have been wrecked thus far? I know that Carfax can tell you if a car has been insurance totalled by the VIN but can you search by Make and Model? I realize that a certain percentage...

no matter what you do to a GTS/ACR, you won't be hanging with an SRT.

I guess the SRT goggles are stronger than we all thought!
Rohn,
You are on the right track. I would put "viper engine" in the search box. Then check the "in title and descriptions" box. This will yield a bunch of results. Click the "highest price" link and that will sort them from highest to lowest price. After that you may have to page through...
The SRT is faster than an ACR, that information is definitely true. How many of these cars will actually make it to the track (GTS, SRT, or ACR)? I would be willing to bet the percentage will be very small. After all how many people actually buy a Viper for that purpose? The Viper is...
