Standard Konis are adjustable, I've done it, its good

Re: Standard Konis are adjustable, I\'ve done it, its good Not sure if a gen 1 would be the same, but if its on Konis they should be adjustable. I think that the gen 1's were a bit stiffer than the gen 2 anyway. Also not sure if all years and markets are set the same. Drove Chris's (Y2KGTS)...

Standard Konis are adjustable, I've done it, its good

Standard Konis are adjustable, I\'ve done it, its good I asked around quite a few people at VOI and not many knew that the standard Konis are adjustable. I wasn't entirely sure myself, so I decided to find out on my return from VOI. I felt that my 99 GTS was definitely set up on the comfort...

    Brake/Clutch fluid? DOT 5.1?

Dot 5.1 boiling point is midway between Dot 4 and a good racing fluid. I would always use it in preference to Dot 4 (And its price is relatively low !) Tom, the problem with silicone fluid is that it hangs on to air bubbles and is a devil to bleed and obtain a firm pedal. Here is an interesting...

    $700 Registration for VOI!!!

It was my first VOI and it was excellent, even better than expectations, I'm going to suffer withdrawal symptoms for some time. Great to meet a lot of new friends, looking forward to VOI 8

2000 exhaust system - check light

Neil Our Euro specs only have 2 O2 sensors as opposed to the USA 4 O2 sensors. Our management system is consequently different from the US ( slightly ). I don't think you will have a problem.

    Best plugs for Supercharger?

Dan I recently fitted a set of Denso Iridium IK16 plugs to my N/A GTS. This is as recommended by Denso. Initially I noticed a good light throttle smoothness, and good throttle response. However after about 300 miles highway driving and a few 1/4 mile passes the performance seemed to drop...

    K&N Air filters: hype?

The KN demonstrator unit I have in the shop compares airflow through KN with same size new paper element. KN causes less flow restriction, not a big difference, but every little counts

Quick fire O2 sensors worked well

Dan Don't have a problem with my sensors, but what about an update on the supercharger and maybe a few recent pics. Hows it coming on. How about a few technical details. Go on don't keep everyone in the dark. Promote

    Flow Numbers on Stock Heads

Greg, that was good to read, you have passed on a lot of very interesting information, think a weekly tutorial would be very educational If you were building a head for a supercharged engine, in what way would this differ from a normally aspirated head. I'm interested specifically in this since...

Technical question on sport shims, toe settings, tie rods-

I've never removed mine, but if I did its going to get into a toe out situation. Therefore you will need to wind the track rod ends onto the rack a little more to get back to correct toe setting. Not sure about setting toe different from standard, probably need to experiment a bit. Suspect the...

    RT to GTS

Hope no-one here gets the wrong idea here about blue/white. Black as we all know is faster than steel, but black v blue/white I'll admit is marginal. Best thing would be to shoot it out at an airfield. Oh thats a good idea, lets try that this Sunday. The gloves are off.

    mods waste of money

I tried several different approaches to the quarter recently... still learning, but in 3rd gear I hit the rev limiter just before the line. That run got me a 12.6. Think its best to change at about 5500 and into 4th gear before the line.

    Supercharger worked out well.....

Thanks Sean I'm impressed with the low power taken to drive the S/C at 5.5psi. Must be running very efficiently. It might be worth including in your fitting instructions that checking the pulley bolt torque would be a good idea. When we recently removed Nads pulley the bolt did not feel like a...

New Mopar Clutch Disk Lining Thickness Is?

Tom Not sure about that info, but the manual does suggest replacement when the facing is worn to within .015" of the top of rivets. Replaced mine recently with kevlar plate (adhesive bonded ) but my plate was almost on some of the rivets at 12K miles ( it was a press car ) Nads clutch plate was...

    IT'S ALIVE!!! Exhuast finally installed!

Re: IT\'S ALIVE!!! Exhuast finally installed! Congrats, took me quite a few evenings to fit my setup, found the slowest most frustrating bit was rerouting the O2 sensor wires. It all fitted perfectly in the end and sounds superb, well worth it.

    Supercharger worked out well.....

Sean Have you had any problem with the damper/pulley slipping on the crankshaft, I know that some belt slippage on the pulleys can be an integral and necessary part of a supercharger belt drive, but the crank pulley isn't keyed and is already fairly loaded with engine ancillaries. I would...
