Stick with the vacuum bleeder. Yes it does suck air from the bleed screw which looks confusing, but it still does a great job of bleeding the brakes. I normally bleed about a litre of fluid through the system to completely flush it through. When I have finished there is no air in the system and...
Re: Just got back from the dyno today on my set up...not bad for a start.
Nice numbers given the belt slip. I was keen to see how the pulley worked, but I guess you have answered that. Why do you think it is chewing the belt so bad ? BTW, where are you going to use that 4.5" alluminium bend ?
That air filter still looks restrictive to me, but if DLM are getting results....... If its the steel mesh type, they don't filter well, keep the flys out but let the dust through...

Adam, that doesnt look like an 800hp filter, looks like a 300hp filter NA, maybe 550hp for blown motor. Pick a non dusty day and try a run without the filter, at least that way you could eliminate it as a problem if it doesnt make a difference.
What about the resistance before the supercharger. Is your airfilter restrictive and is there an elbow before the blower. Both these will significantly reduce the boost.
I heard that the motors in the red 94's with the silver stripes and the hundreds of hours spent blinging them out are really good, (especially with the 99 injectors fitted) :)
Its going to be a Yak 52 which is a pretty tough aerobatics warbird type plane. Should be interesting :)
The plane that Neil was talking about was an English Electric Lightening, which was the first supersonic plane supplied to the RAF in the early 60's.
Re: Some more pics of my project. Pics inside...also some
That sleeving is excellent........I'm impressed, I will use that idea in the future. Also like the studs for the oil pan.
Try a Willans or some of the European harnesses. I have the teamtech and whilst I am sure it is great in an accident, it can be a pain otherwise. I find the buckle is a bit obstructive when buckling up and forget about wearing a t-shirt, you'll need a collar or you'll have teamtech neck rash...
Re: Anyone using the
Works great, but the take up is a bit juddery in traffic etc. I can live with it. The bite on a hard launch is very controllable, not at all switch like.
