Sean,
I bought an SCT a while back from you guys with a 91 and 93 octane flash based on the mods my car has. I like the increase in performance, but I think there's a bit more to be had. If I get a dyno pull (or pulls) done with A/F for each flash can you fine tune the flashes I have? If so...
I've never had a problem with leaving the car in first a little longer until the RPMs are high enough to turn off the skip shift. You don't have to be really revving the motor or nailing the go-pedal to get the skip shift off.
Note that I mean this as a serious comment, not a flame or...
Treesnake - the car looks killer, but as a fellow slate/silver coupe owner I might be a little biased.
Bill - do you have a breakdown of production numbers that takes Sirius into account? I remember seeing in Viper mag that there were only 4 slate/silver coupes built with H-spoke wheels but...
I received my SCT from them some time ago with a 91 and 93 flash. We have nothing higher than 91 here unless you run race fuel or booster so I emailed them and they recommended running the 93 flash and if the car pinged, then put in the 91 flash. So far, the car's been on the 93 flash without a...
If the rumors are true that the Viper is going away after 2010 then plan on the Challenger SRT-8 being the new flagship car for Dodge. Matter of fact, the way their promotions are running looks like it already might be.
No headers, just the Mopar Race Exhaust, but I'll check this out anyway. Coincidentally, the car threw code P0198 (oil temp sensor high) when my wife was driving it yesterday. She said all the gauges looked normal. The oil level is good and the car has never thrown this code before. The idea of...
Re: Viper Cancellation officially confirmed 3/31
John McElroy is a very respected automotive journalist. He is probably the most credible source to publicly report this to date. Believe what you want, but insulting the messenger will not make his more or less likely to be correct.
Absolutely right, my mistake, but still 9 years of sales for that body style as some dealers were still moving out new '06 cars when the '08 began production. Definitely, the coupe was the shot in the arm that was needed after the '05 MY. I'm just questioning how viable the current body will...
I agree with everything you said, but it's still the same body for 9 model years ('03-'11) which will make it a tough sell, especially to those buyers not completely up on the Viper.
After three years of the gen III 'vert sales were slipping and the opinion that something needed to be changed was more and more frequently posted. Enter the coupe for '06 and the complaints quieted, but 5 more years of the same body style will bring very slow sales and lots of complaints by the...
Didn't you start the "Another Viper Is Probably Done In 09 Tid Bit!" in the SRT-10 Forum saying the Viper won't continue past '09 because "There are no NEW engines that are being tested, or researched at Dodge"? Which is it? Is the Viper continuing to a new platform as you say here or is it dead...
