    If you can get vise-grips or channel-locks around them, I would think they would snap loose at ambient easier than heated. Maybe a pipe, or socket on a 1/2" extension that matches the pickle OD would provide better leverage.

    Just your engine, or more generally? If it's yours, you should be able to go to a local dealer in your car, or with your license renewal / insurance card and have them search your VIN history for dealer visits/recalls.

    I have a set from a '98. I run 17" PS2s on them for the street and regularly run a session or two at the track on them. No worries about the cracking failures associated with the cast/welded models.

    Definitely so. If you don't piddle around while pulling the spring and recapping, you shouldn't have to bleed the MC. The rear circuit needs extra attention.

    I stumbled upon these saved photos that someone else took many years ago when removing the spring. Some folks remove the o-ring and leave the spring. I removed the spring and left the o-ring on the spool. Spool has to stay in because it seals against the hollow cap nut.
