huffines anywhere sucks. When I was in the market for my '98 I tried doing an honest deal with them and they wouldn't document it because they wanted to rip me off later...bunch of scumballs. I bought elsewhere and went back to huffines and waved to the jerk sales manager. Sue their asp off...
I would not call the removal of the fog/driving light covers an improvement unless you're talking about DC's profit margin as the glass lens on the lights is no longer protected and the aero drag on the car is increased. :smirk:
When the going gets tuff the tuff get going. Sounds like you're tuff. Welcome back...I'm certain you can add much to the Board discussions. BTW, luv my VEC2!
Re: PICS...Forgeline SX3!!!
Thanks for the compliments guys! Sorry about the poor pics :p ...will post better ones later this week. :D The side splitters are from JonB @ PartsRack.
Finally got them mounted and of course it's raining in Dallas for the first time in 2 months. Raining all day today and forecasted for tomorrow too. I'll post some new pics(for my new avatar...BIG!) outside with the sun on Tuesday of the VR3Ps and my other recent mods...Autoform rollbar... Car...
Looking good...luv the tires. How do they hook up? Do you know how they compare to Kuhmos? BTW, get off the computer and walk the perimeter...I thought you were on guard duty? :D
That was an awesome pass by Bob getting both Gigliotti in the Vette and Aschenbach in the Porsche in the same corner...WOW! Great pass also by Archer against Fellows in the Caddy on the last lap out of the last turn to finish second! :2tu: Dodge leads Manufacturers Championship by...
Re: Thinking of getting HRE 541R\'s
If you can't find a used set I'd call JonB @ PartsRack. He'll give you a good deal and give you a trade allowance for your stock wheels. I just did this with him on a set of Forgelines. BTW, good call staying with 18s. Good luck!
Yeah...I agree wings and splitters are just stupid on Vipers that can do 200+ MPH and are not only driven on the street but also on the track.
Well...my '98 had 17" stock so I've already done +1 and don't want to go any further out of original design specs regarding suspension geometry. In addition, I wanted to maintain the better performance and ride characteristics of the 18s versus larger diameter wheels which require a lower aspect...
Cool...they will look great on a B/W too. Don't forget to post pics! :2tu:
HEy JIM,
Get OFF the computer and GO put those rims ON! I'm sure Tony can't wait to tell you how great they look.
LOL! I'm sure he'll find something wrong with them.
VR1s are 18 & 19 lbs.. These are 25(10.5"F) & 27 lbs. w/jet nuts(1 lb. lighter total) versus standard. Stock 18s are 31 & 33 lbs.. ACRs are 27 & 29 lbs.. I wanted some weight savings, however, I also wanted 3pc. wheels so the 1pc. VR1s were not an option for me.
Any update on the new format/upgrades being completed? Sorry to say if what we have now is it then I think we should definitely go back to the old one. Would be nice to get a status report posted here on a daily basis so we know what is going on. :(
