I haven't checked the wire itself, although they all look good on the outside. I checked the plug out of the car and the spark was great. I need to check the wire. As for doing the data log... I don't have the equipment or experience to do that.
After a 4th gear pull on the interstate a few days ago my GENIII Paxton Coupe started a misfire. After the interstate pull I limped a few miles home. When I popped the hood, the front plug wire on the passenger side was off. No check engine lights came on at all. I put the plug wire back on and...
Great job! Do you have stock gears? Totally stock car except for your mods listed above? What did you run for psi in your INVO's? I'm thinking about taking a few passes at the local drag strip and I have the same tires.
It looked like a pretty good clean run down the track. From sound, it looks like traction was decent and you didn't have to lift off the pedal due to wheel spin from second gear on. Like anything, practice improves every scenario, including drag racing. What tires are you running on your car? I...
I just switched from a modified 02 GTS to an 06 Bumble Bee coupe. I had never driven a GenIII or a GenIV before this car showed up at my house, so I obviously made the trade due to the newer and more modern look of the GenIII. Now after driving my new car a few times, I can say there are many...
If the car was in good shape with 50,000 miles it would be worth somewhere around 45k+-. Find out what the engine would cost to repair and subtract it from there. If the car has an AEM system on it, what other mods have been done to the car? 30k doesn't sound like a bad price, but ultimately it...
I mentioned earlier that my comments are only personal opinion, based on experience from owning a supercharged car with the gears in question. I'm curious, how much rwhp is your car currently making? My car is making 676rwhp and can break loose at 70mph with 3.73 gears, I wouldn't think it would...
If the only planned mods are simple mods like K&N filters or cat-back exhaust, it may not make much of a difference, but the more mods you have the tougher traction will be. If someone is staying stock they may be fine, but thinking of a possible supercharger addition like Ohlarikd, 3.73's are...
If you go supercharged, stay away from the 3.73 gears. Way to much power for the gearing. Just basic mods may be fun, but 3.55's still may be a better choice. Just my opinion...
I have 3.73 gears and wish I had the taller gears. If you do any hp mods the 3.73 gears make your first couple gears useless due to wheel spin. The torque feels great in every gear, but it breaks loose pretty easy.
Very strong numbers guys! Anything making 600+RWHP with minor mods is worth bragging about. Have any of you gone down the 1/4 mile to see what numbers you put down?
Thanks everyone! This car was supercharged by the previous owner in Florida and has 676rwhp. It's nice too because I was able to connect with the last owner on FB and was able to find out the whole history from him instead of relying on carfax. The dealer was one of the more professional guys...
My new 2006 supercharged Bumble Bee just came home! WOW! What an amazing car, in every way! It's great, my 2 boys check the garage each morning now to make sure it's still there. After having an 02 GTS for 7 years, I was definitely ready for a change, and I'm in love with this new car!
Thanks to...
I have to say that I was expecting much better track preparation for such a large event. It was a little embarrassing running a 13.1 at 116mph as a best and getting my ass kicked my my brother inlaws stock 2000GTS.
