In the factory the assembly process is monitored, especially torque, clean new part, OEMs usually discourage reuse in applications for dealer service because it would take too much time to define a process to prep / clean and check the clamp (threads, corrosion, torque strain, etc..) for...
I did the same Holger to weld on some flanges for a straight pipe to swap out the cats and resonators when needed.... no issues, clamp may just need a couple hits with a hammer or whatever to crack it loose when you take it off for the first time. Reused the clamps with no issues..
Cheers,
Mike
Thanks again TexasTorred, you're a class act fellow, glad to have met you online and many great folks in the US. I've been watching the debates, what goes on in the US is important for us up here, heck even in my career, working for that popular US auto company in the media...
So my wife makes...
Thanks TexasTorred, I remember seeing Iron Maiden in Detroit way back then a couple times..
Ok, so I saw this on the store shelf today and had to buy a can.. My wife says "so are you going to take a picture of that too?"
That's cool. I remember watching this back then as a teenager on TV, why I remember his name...

In automotive design, the end centers of the crankshaft has to be between the axle centerlines in order to be considered mid-engine. So if the front center of the crank is behind the front spindle axle centerline, it's consider a mid-engine.
Not sure if that answers any questions... just...
I got a chance to meet Paul in 2008 when I was in the UK, still remember that day, being introduced to Paul, he was a gentleman and sorry to hear about this unfortunate news. I can only offer my sincere condolences to his family, friends and RIP Paul. Just a nice car guy and surely much more to...
Thanks, we think alike, I asked the same thing how they're made, here's a quote from an email from Randy "high polish Aluminum (and even Stainless Steel) are notorious for showing scratches! Stainless may sound "hard"....but when you buff it like a Mirror, a finger nail can leave a mark ! not...
.. and I was wondering if he was part of a cattle farming family in Texas

Thanks VYPR BYT 94 / Mike, I wasn't sure how they would look, but I'm happy with them, at least they remind me of the wife everytime I step in to the car now!.. as...
Randy from www.zero-altitude-flight.com is a great guy to chat with, definitely an old school muscle car fellow too. They made up some covers, anodized, they have other colors if you check out the Sill/Dress Plate section, the logo is cut into the aluminum and they have a bonded on plastic...
Re: Preventative tip regarding the window reg clip breaking - Lubricating the assembl
I changed the Album settings to public rather than members only, that was probably why...
Cheers,
Mike
Edit... ok, I logged out and can't see the pics even though I made the change for the album to be public...
My passenger window was going slow..... I could sense the tension inside the assembly potentially breaking the clip if I forced the window up and down. The tension is surely due to lack of lubrication and not being used that often (especially the passenger side), having slight corrosion in the...
I hear you... but it's a nice time to drive the car, seems to love the cool weather, I got my hard top on and back window in now..
How's the trees turning in Michigan where you're at? We're just north of Toronto, here's a pic from our backyard yesterday..
Yes, lots of it was designed & manufactured in Canada at Multimatic comprised of a great bunch of talented folks, the carbon fiber chassis, etc.. there's a bunch of info on the internet and pics. I designed most of the doors / structure, various carbon fiber parts of the car. I also worked...
It's always a facial expression that's for sure.. the fascia / grille on the Gen V is doing a bit of #4..
Personally I think an excessively mean look is a bit tacky for those types of guys who drive with their hand on top of the steering wheel and flex their triceps at stop lights, etc.. A...
Unfortunately I don't have the Viper schematics, but I'm just going on gut instincts on this, so yes that's what I would do. The IOD feeds so many things, that's why it's tough to pinpoint. If you google Dodge and Ignition Off Draw, it's a common problem for people to find the root of the...
Ignition Off Draw, may have to refer to the schematic to see what is powered when the ignition is off that could be causing the drain, pull the fuses of those, from keyless remote module, electric door lock, interior lights, all that sort of stuff that can be powered when the key is off, some...
Stopped in to say a hi to our new countryside neighbor, what a great guy, even said that I could take it out for a drive after meeting him for the first time.
It was just cool that he's an enthusiast to take any time whatsover to chat with a knucklehead middle class guy like myself, obviously...
