It's very frustrating to post items for sale, get responses that say you are interested and definitely want the item and then never hearing anything again from the interested party after I have responded back to them with an email address and asking for an address and Zip Code to calculate...
I can understand somewhat but to destroy these pieces of Viper history is a travesty!! Read the article on MSN.com.
Chrysler to colleges: Crush 93 Viper prototypes
One community college in Washington state speaks out about Chrysler's legal order to destroy its rare Dodge Viper within two...
My serpentine belt rubbed a small hole in my line. Went to NAPA and they ordered a new hose for 15 dollars. Same exact hose from Mopar was almost $50.00 It was a Gates hose. Turn your wheel all the way to the right or left with engine running and see if fluid shoot out of the hole in the hose...
No doubt in anyone's mind that this top and windows are fantastic. I've checked back numerous times to see a price or at least an estimated total cost and there is nothing. Doesn't anyone know a ball park figure to post? The cost is most likely going to be upwards of $4500 bucks IMO. Stop...
You can use the headbolts over one time for this job. If heads come off again new ones would be necessary. Multi-layer steel headgaskets along with a new thermostat a must.
Having listened to numerous examples of Viper sound bites for all the different exhaust systems available there are really no great sounds out there unless you go with headers and a cam. The V10 will never have the sound of a V8 since the firing order is different. Will always sound like a "UPS"...
I hope this is a pointless hint but make sure the screw holding the top of the window to the door post is unscrewed. Sometimes you have to push down hard on the window as you push it forward and the back should let loose first.
Good luck!
Re: Need a little help
Here's some suggestions. I have used some of these in the past years.
WISE ASP (my personal favorite altho it may attract undue police attention just to verify that I am a Wise A$$, at least the wife says I am) This is on car now.
V10 PWRD (used this for 2 years)...

May try 4 NIK8 but...
As if driving the old Dodge Viper (not the fancy new SRT model) isn't intimidating enough, imagine trying to wrangle that V10 beast and then suddenly having the airbags deploy. Yikes. That's apparently what could happen to some 3,660 Viper models from the 2003 and 2004 model years, and as such...
Had V10 PWRD but now have WISE ASP. Everyone says it fits me to a Tee.
Was going to do 4NICK8 but decided I wanted to stay married so I went with WISE ASP.
Are you sure these will work on a Gen 1? They are always advertised for Gen 2's but when I called and inquired about them for a Gen 1 I was told they didn't think they worked on a Gen 1. There's not much molding around the gauges to mount the rings. If they'll work I'll go 140.
Thanks.
I packaged up 2 stock rear Gen 1 wheels back around 12/1 and shipped them off to CalChrome. Took longer than I anticipated and I had to call twice to get an acknowledgement they were even in the production stage of being chromed and finally received post chroming pictures for my inspection. Once...
From experience get under the car and grab the steering hose nearest the serpentine belt and see if there's a pin hole where the belt has been slapping the hose. This happened to me. A new hose and a little adjusting away from the belt fixed the problem. Just a thought. I never saw anything...
A more tell tale visual once you have the car in the air is if you notice streaks down the block. You'll notice right away. Dark brown water stains and maybe a drip at the bottom of antifreeze. That's the first signs of seepage. After I replaced mine at 17000 miles I went to a NAPA parts dealer...
There will be an All Mopar Show on September 22nd at Wade Shick's Chrysler of Culpeper on Rte 29 in beautiful Culpeper VA. This is the 3rd year he has sponsored this show and every year has gotten bigger and better. All kinds of Mopar muscle cars show up. The only cars that don't show up are...
