nice find! Yeah If the ghetto way I did mine doesn't end up working I will for sure go this route. Thanks for the tip! Everything seems good so far. :)
Ok, so last thing to figure out before this beast (2006 Dodge Viper) is back on the road where it belongs. I just finished my rebuild on the engine and the last thing not working is the re-charging of the battery. This week I replaced both the battery and the alternator. I had the alternator...
Thank you all for your input. I was able to get the car running. I used a dodge "cam sensor" harness off of amazon and it fit. The pain was not only figuring out which wire was which, but realizing that I had put back in the 2006 flywheel and not the 2004 flywheel that needed to be installed...
This is the sensor that is out of my old 2006 block that was blown:

This is the sensor from the 2004 block that I have...
The engine is out of a Dodge Viper, not the dodge Ram. The tooth count should be the same because they both use the same flywheel. I wish the solution was as easy as using an extension harness, but the plug for the sensor in the 2004 I am putting in is completely different. Luckily they both...
HELP!!
I have been trying to figure out what I am going to do about an issue I overlooked. I have a 2006 Viper and the bottom end got ruined when I rented it out and they had a bit too much fun on it. I bought a 2004 bottom end and have been in the process of getting the rest of the engine...
That is a damn shame. You have now discovered an issue all of us have faced. Unfortunately, there is no easy fix. Probably your best bet is to buy a whole Gen IV door panel on ebay and remove the plastic trim from that. These pieces are not sold separately anywhere so options on getting a new...
You could check the rubber boot that goes around your shifter. They often tear and allow heat from the transmission tunnel to torch your center console area. Its easy to check. Just unbolt the aluminum trim around the surrounds your shifter and the boot will be directly underneath. 30$ fix...
Thanks! I should have a test gauge at least lit properly by next week (White led(s) behind and red LED for the needle). I will be sure to post a picture when i hit that stage.
Yes I do! I replaced the window switches with red LEDs. I also replaced all the green LEDs in the radio with red ones. Al the other buttons / knobs in the car (Door lock, Power Mirror) now have white LEDs soldered in them. Ohh, and also am having the interior wrapped in red leather this week...
Hey guys,
Working on designing custom gauges for the Viper. It is basically a sandwich of a transparency up front, and plane paper behind. The needles are a generic GM product and only cost 20$ shipped. I chose to change the needles because the OEM ones do not allow light to pass through them...
Hey guys, trying to pull my WHOLE dash, not just the standard parts that everyone does. I do not feel like purchasing a 150$ CD and waiting for it to be shipped just for this one thing. Can someone with a service manual help me out? I have removed what seems like all of the bolts and it still...
Lol MoparMap, My radio is that cheap $400 Chinese one. It fits just like OEM but had some pretty bright Green LED's. After replacing all the LEDs in the car this week it is now the only thing that is green. Looks like that it is going to be another PITA to change. Ohh well, another weekend job I...
Hey guys,
I purchased an additional AC control unit to play around with and see if I could get the blue film off. Little did I know what a large undertaking this is. Here is a picture of the final results. (Crappy phone pic for tonight, sorry)
I wish I could say it was easy to do, however...
And yes it comes with 4 of them! All I did was replace my inner pads that were wearing. Now I still have two more to use for when the others wear down. Winning!
Hey guys,
I recently struck gold and found a seller on Amazon that sells super cheap E-Brake Pads. $21.14 and free two day shipping (Amazon Prime members). Thanks to you guys I noticed mine had completely worn down and I know these are a common problem so it is nice to see a cheaper...
Ha! Thank you all for the help. I jacked her up to take a look at the starter and saw (picture). That little pesky bastard had come loose. Figures it would happen when I was an hour away from home. Thanks again!
Gents, So long story short I took my baby (2006 SRT-10) to the drag strip last night and when I got home the car will not start since. I was able to push start it, like any other manual, but the button is not working. I have searched through all three forums and none of their issues were mine...
