02 and check engine light?

I have one last thing before my car is done. The tuner told me that if I splice into my 02 sensor wire to hook into my maximizer computer, it will throw a check engine light. Is there any way around this other than by buying a new 02 sensor with wideband from NX? Can I clear the code somehow for good?

I would ask carrot. He should cough it up. I bought the COMPLETE kit from him for a ass reaming price, so if its not there let me know. So i can make a big carrot bashing post about how he sells incomplete parts,and i can send him a bill for the full amount.

The kit uses your stock 02, but the tuner said it would throw a check engine light?? It seems like it would make sense since you are cutting into the wires, but I am no wire specialist, anybody know? FJO racing sells a wideband kit with an 02 sensor that you install in addition to your stock 02's that will work, but have to waste the $650 for it? Any way around this?
