Was that the Yellow GTS with black stripes? I think it was very low miles and pretty heavily modified.

I saw a 2001 Yellow with black stripes, with a Paxton, 573 cu in stroker motor, and a Doug Levin Motorsports pedigree reported with a winning bid of $62,000. ($68,200 with buyer's fee) http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archive/Event/Item/2001-DODGE-VIPER-GTS--188922

I noted that there was a TX dealer's classified ad at $54,888 a couple of weeks earlier. So, I am guessing with the sellers fee and expenses, he netted about what he was asking for online.

That's strong money and good to see. I think it boils down to having the right person in the room for the right car. I can seem to remember a low mileage graphite RT/10 fetching $68K a few years ago.

Low mile super clean GTS's are getting harder and harder to find. These cars are definitely future collectibles.
