This is for my 05 convertible. Is there anything I’ll run into that I’ll need to change over when swapping from the T56 to the Tr6060 that was in a gen 5 I’ve heard may need a new Yolk ? Will I run into any other problems either under the car or inside with the shift or center console? Anything at all I should Think of my or prepare for ?

I’ve done it, new yoke and a spacer under the throw bearing to bring it back to where it was. Might work without it, but I didn’t chance it.

Also an excellent time to put a shifter in, much easier when it’s sitting on the garage floor then up in the car. And a good time to go ahead and put a clutch in.

You put the spacer under the Slave cyl? Stock clutch *****, so nearly any else would be better.

Probably has to do with the gen 4 being dual disk if I remember correctly, so would make sense that there is more room built into the bellhousing for it and the slave would sit a little bit further back. The Viper style slave cylinders are known to have a pretty long stroke though, so probably not a big deal. I have a T56 in my 67 Dart and have run it with and without a 3/8" or so spacer and it worked fine either way. They are self adjusting within the range of travel they have, but never hurts to try to optimize it to have as much as possible available to account for clutch wear over time.

And the stock clutch in the Gen 3 is just fine, not sure what others might be getting at. I ran mine for ~100k miles if I remember right and put a stock spec Luk back in. So far it seems to hold the extra power my cam puts down just fine, though I do with it didn't have such a long pedal throw. That's my only real gripe with it.

Yep, stock clutch. The GEN4 has a different clutch flywheel set up.

Measuring from the bell housing to block mating surface to the throw out bearing mounting surface showed .125” more with the TR 6060. I used this spacer.

you have a Yoke recommendation or one that you used ? did you just swap to a gen4 or 5 ? thanks for the help on the shim man just bought that. shipping cost more than the shim damn near.

My trans came with a G4 driveshaft, and I just used it. I also replaced the slave cylinder.
