Had the SRT out yesterday in Dallas in the 109 degree heat! The temperature never got out of line, even when I was caught in some stop and go traffic (My '02 GTS never over heated but it would scare the high end of the temp gauge in these conditions). The air conditioning did a MUCH better job than either (97 and 02) GTS ever did.

Still seems like the AC fan needs one more higher speed...

Yes, I agree about the fan speed, one more notch would work great when you first get in the car. I have had to turn the fan speed down after about 20 minutes of cooling with the fan on high....too cold (top up)!

Steve,

Same thing here(can't believe we didn't run into each other :) ). I intentionally took the car out to see how it would perform. Drove it for 3 straight hours...not one hiccup. Amazing. Great car.

I agree with the SRT being a great car. It does need one more fan speed. It has hit close to 117 here in Havasu and the car(top up) keeps quite cool. As per previous posts, looking forward to the coupe!

I live in Fort Worth, don't like to drive the car in such heat for very long, feels like I'm killing her, and me to. I can't waite to get the high flow cats on this car. They did so much for my former cars. The side sills get very hot on this car, I mean very hot when drove in the day time heat for more than 30 minutes. The car does not run the same with so much heat soak. I will say one thing, the cooling system does keep it in one spot for the most part. To bad it can't bring it down to the thermostat rating. Only in sixth gear cruising 70 or so, outside temp below 90 does this cars temp fall around 10 degrees. It just can't keep it there all the time. I guess a 180 thermostat would be great in a little cooler weather. The car might actually stay there.

Viperzilla, Top was up,109 degrees + top down = sunburned bald spot!

CStegall, What color is your SRT? Saw a black SRT in Weatherford last weekend but did not have a chance to meet the driver.

Skip, Please let me know when you have the cats replaced, very interested to feel the temp difference.
