18\" OEM Wheels

Anyone here know who had the 18" OEM wheels listed on Ebay?? I had put in a bid.. it was a no reserve auction... minimum bid was $850...

Then today..... the auction is GONE? I am not sure why they pulled the auction... I had a max bid in... and I was high bidder... with no reserve?

I am just curious who had that auction going and why it was pulled.

people do that often.. someone emails em, makes em an offer and the person who listed it will pull the auction and sell it privately.. pretty sucky but that is what probably just happened to you.

Losing faith in the whole Ebay system, lots of questionable practice going on both ways.

I just won a 97 forged rim, after the seller had just bought a 96 cast rim on ebay, emailed for VIN of the rim being auctioned verified from him it was forged, not cast. From his car not the auction he won on the cast I was told.

Win the auction, pay within an hour of winning, and then told sorry it was cast not forged. Pays me back and I'm out 14 bucks in conversion charges of some sort (awaiting explanation from paypal).

Disappearing auctions, winning items misrepresented, and last minute snipers buying anything Viper (some from this board) at what seems like a good deal, to turn around and resell for profit. Capitalism gone amok???

he most likely realized he was nuts for selling them for that...there has been 3 sets of 18" rims I have seen that went for over 3000 with tires..
