Hi all, I have a dear friend that is in trouble with his dodge viper 1st gen. The 2nd and 3rd cilynder don't fire, there is no spark. The coils pack is OK (it's new) and also the wiring seems ok but i'm not so sure.
We think that one of the 2 ECUs is broken:
4709384 (Engine Powertrain Controller Module)
4708229 (Ignition Control Module)
I have cleaned every connector to be sure that every signal is OK.

In Italy is not a common car, so is very difficult (if not impossible) to find a garage that could handle this problem.
Someone of you have experience or a wiring diagram of this car?

Thank you!

If the car has not been messed with the wiring should be OK, are you sure the coil pack is good, I have seen many new coil packs that are bad, sometimes you have to try a known good pack to be sure, other wise you will be pulling your hair out. If the crank sensor was bad there would be no spark at all, check the ignition module. With out the right equipment finding the bad part is going to be tough, try swapping out the suspected bad part with a known good one, hopefully its a module or bad coil pack.

The coil pack has been changed, initially we had think that this was the responsible of the problem.
I'll check again every wire. Surely if i had a functional ignition module would be a good try...

Hello, I am interested to know if you found the cause of your problem with no fire to cylinders 2 & 3. I have the same problem - changed the coil with new one and still have the same problem.
