Checking out youtube videos, I stumbled on this video

Seems like it's a 1994 RT-10 but it has some weird door handles I have never seen before and you can see a window that is barely open (around 1:12)

Anyone have info on this setup? might be custom?

Looks like it has Gen II doors on it. They don't line up with the Sports bar when the doors close and it definitely has a Gen II rear exhaust panel.
Sounds great though. Can also do with out the marker lights on the side fender. Maybe that's a requirement in Europe. :usa:

Yup, stupid as it is they are required here, even though some cars like my Calibra magically seem to be allowed without them??

I thought the Gen II doors had smaller handles?

one of the reasons I bought a Gen II (should take delivery next week woot) instead of a Gen I was for the real windows and door handles, didn't know they could be fitted to a Gen I, it would have made my search easier hehe :)

wait, I was under the impression a Gen 2 door couldn't fit a Gen 1...IF that is still the case, then I wonder who did the mod.

around 1:33 if ya check center console, it seems to have the window controller from gen II

wonder how much all this cost him to get the full functionning doors from a GenII working on his GenI hehe

can't say I have seen it often hence why I was wondering :)

I have been wanting to do this mod for some time...... I think it will work, but woudl require a bit of fabrication of wiring, change of various parts including sport bar pad..and seatbelts....etc......

I can't see the video at work but I am anxious to view.

Those look like modified Gen 1 doors to me....not sure how they retrofitted windows into the doors...but the interior panels look like Gen 1.....

Very interesting, I've been thinking about this conversion myself. Can't figure out if they changed the windshield surround or just added the weather strip to seal the windows.

If anyone wants to send me a couple of gen II rt/10 doors for free to test and write an article on, feel free. :)

Later,

It's an abomination!

Gen 1 is a *******, windowless car and should remain that way. Gen 1 cars are supposed to be basic, raw, fast cars that don't cater to comfort. They were sold to people who wanted just that! If you want power windows etc?... buy a 'vette...It's a great car too (but not a viper..)...

My ac works great! But on my 94 I have that handle on the passenger door. It doesn't look like it was an added piece though.
