1995 Viper Engine Swap

I just blow up the engine to my new to me 1995 Dodge viper. I wanted to know if I can put a gen II engine in my gen I. I am pretty sure the Trans and engine mounts will work fine I am just concerned about the wiring. What do you guys think. I can get my hands on a low mileage gen II engine for a bargain, I just want to know if it will work before I sink over 6 Grand in a used engine.

I'm not an expert on the differences between the two generations of engines but how bad is the 95.

I.E. Did you just spin a bearing or did you blow a hole out the side. me personally, if the stock engine is rebuildable I'd go that route before spending that much on a used engine.

The engine rebuild kit is around $8,000 according to my local mechanic and that's not even the labor

Personally I'd find another GEN 1 engine and put it back in there. Not gonna be worth the additional cost for the GEN II swap personally.

I'd listen to whatever Tom is PM'ing you about. Beyond that,
a Gen1 motor will be cheaper, easier to find, and give you the
least amount of headache installing. The bonus 15hp (for 96-98)
and/or 50hp can be found in upgrades.
