It is weird, I have never seen so many Sapphire cars for sale at once. It is usually hard to find a Sapphire car on the market and I can think of at least 4 or 5 for sale right now.

Good luck with your sale and new Viper. You should have no problems moving it even with the time of year and economy at this price.

Personally I do not think thwe market is price driven as I had my Z06 priced incredibly cheap and got very few bites but my dealer had no problems giving me close to that for trade in and I suspect he will have no problems selling it for 5 grand more than I was asking for it. I think everybody has trade ins etc... and are forced to go to dealers over private sales.

Yeah that's the way it is sometimes. I know when I was in the market for a Sapphire Viper there weren't any available and it took over 6 months until I found one.

I've got a few dealers interested and I suspect they already have a cutomer in mind.

One just sold on barette Jackson for 41k with salvage title (stolen and recovered). Very nice but unaware of miles. ACR model also. Surprised it went so high; B-J auction or not.

That's way high - even if the car was never wrecked. A salvage title usually destroys the value of a car and especially a Viper. Personally I wouldn't have paid more than $25K.

I was surprised as well. it started at 25k and surprised me to see the numbers go up from there as my first impression was, its gonna remain at 25k.

Just sold it and the Challenger SRT-8 this weekend. Frankly, I'm amazed at how quick they went.

I ordered a 2010 Graphite/Silver stripes coupe and was informed that it is in 'D' staus as of Friday.

Now the long wait begins - if I'm lucky, I'll see it by July or so. Meanwhile being Viperless for that long is going to ****.

It was a package deal to one guy. He bought both for $75K. Now I've got to wait for my 2010.

There is still a lot of time to change your mind. No way a 3rd or 4th gen car is as good looking as your 01. Less expensive to upgrade 01 bakes,power,handling and still have one of the best looking cars in the world.I hope the 2010 is black to hide some of the angularities and soften the lines the white cane toyota designer produced. Honestly I would buy a another gen 2 gts or a new Corvette before I would consider a srt 10 car. Viper was RIP after 2002. It has never recovered after the toyota body design fiasco. GTS Bruce

While I agree the gen I/II body is fantastic the SRT's are fantastic cars to drive. Not that the gen I/II cars aren't fun to drive either. I got rid of my gen II acr because I didn't like having a fixed roof on my viper. You will not regret getting the gen IV. Trust me.

I agree that the style of the Gen II is timeless. In fact 20 years or so down the road, it will still be considered to be a classic. I wish I could keep this and have a Gen IV but that's not possible.

I also had the good fortune of driving a Gen IV on a road course and they are amazing. The Gen II is not even close. And the ACR steps it up yet another notch.

One good thing is I know who has my Gen II and I have first crack if he ever decides to sell it.
