hey guys. what does the mamba add to value on the 04 cars. a friend is looking at trading for one with 5700 miles and is having trouble getting a solid value on it. What is fair market for these cars. Are they very desirable? thanks

200 white mambas built in '04, 200 black in '04, and 200 silver built in '05. My view is that the white is the most valuable, I don't know the value but if stock, as new, 1 owner, no damage I would guess $40,000 bid...$45,000 ask. just a guess, perhaps someone has bought or sold 1 recently and can comment.

I think the white Mamba's are the most desirable too...since black and silver are "normal" Viper colors. I'm not sure how much extra cash it's worth though...minimal at best.

I sold mine July 09 for 62 thousand (DLM Supercharged),but it only had little over 2 thousand miles... at the time other 04 Mambas (Black and Silver) were benchmarking between 53 to 56 thousand.....

Talking to people in the used market, the Mamba editions pull about +3-4K, with the White ones pulling +5-6K over the standard cars.

...and you can thank Steve Ferguson for THAT!

Steve pushed WHITE, WHITE, WHITE for years.

I believe the first color code mentioned (although not used) was SBF White (***** Boy Ferguson).

Can you fill us in Steve?

Purchased mine last year $43k 16K miles. Trust me you wont be disappointed. To this day I have never passed another white Mamba passed red silver black all day long. The color combo is the coolest white with red interior. Good luck.

Depends on where and to whom you're trying to trade. Typical special editions will fetch more dollars on the open market but very little as far as trade value goes, unless you're trading it at a Viper or specialty car dealership (folks already familiar with the Viper market). Reason being is that a wholesaler's bid on a used car very rarely takes into account the "special edition" tag in terms of a price differential from a standard '04 SRT-10. You're friend should try selling his car first unless he's in a hurry to get rid of it. Also, see if the dealership where he wishes to purchase the new car is willing to do an "in and out" once he finds a buyer for his 2004.

They don't come up for sale very often, some show very well, and some show like they've been daily driven. It might come down to how clean a car you are interested in ? This is the experiance I came across . Hope this helps . :)

I've got the last Mamba made and dont toss silver out of the bed.... a very easy to live with color. Black is dirty right after you wash it, and white, as popular as it's getting lately, shows dirt easily as well.

Silver is the way to go.
