I need help. I have a 2005 SRT and it had the dead battery problems. Now, after replacing the battery I can't get the car to start. When I turned the ignition on initially after re-instaling the battery I was unable to get the starter to engage. I turn the ignition on and everything else comes on, when I push in the red start button nothing happens. I have replaced the BCM and I still have the no start issue. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Did you test the battery? You may have a bad switch under the clutch pedal.
Yes, I did test the battery. It has 12.35 volts and good draw. I thought it was the clutch switch as well. However, when I push the red button and then push in the clutch the radio and cd changer goes off, like it does when you would push in the clutch and then push the red start button. Makes me think the ctutch switch is okay. I guess it could still be bad. I also checked the starter wires, they are all connected. I also tapped on the starter with a small hammer to see if the starter could be in a dead spot. No luck. I am perplexed.
Check the ASD fuses and relays...next, the same for the starter.
I found the ASD Relay and the starter relay. I noticed a clicking noise coming from the fuse box when i pushed the start button. I then removed the starter relay and the ASD relay and I still heard the clicking noise when I pushed the start button.That seems strange.
Fuses OK?

Yes, I did switch out the relays. No change. I took out all the relays and tried to start the car and I still heard the clicking noise when I pushed the start button. The clicking I am hearing is coming from the blower motor relay. When i turn on the blower motor and push the start button, the lights all dim. Could it possibly be the blower motor relay?
...and, I assume that you checked/swapped out ASD fuses 1&2.
Guess I'd pull the blower motor relay, and try to start it. Would also add that you might want to charge the battery ...as, by my recollection, at the voltage you described, it's well below full charge.
Sure hope we are not missing a clicking starter now...though one would expect that to be a lot louder.

Sorry that I'm not making better guesses. Is there any chance that your battery cable connectors are corroded or loose?
Seems like after the replacement, you've had no real "kick".
I do remember a friend who replaced his Viper's battery with a brand new battery...still no go...had him test battery, found it to be defective, so next battery cured the problem.
I do need to check one more idea...will have to open the manuals!!!

I finnally had time to remove the starter and test. Tested fine. I did notice the brown colored wire that hooks up to the starter looked like it had been burnt or overheated. I wonder if that would be the issue?
