2010 gauge bezel gloss black

i had to replace the dash and the dealer destroyed the gloss black gauge bezel, as it has the final edition emblem i cannot replace any ideas as how to take the scratches out ?.

by hand try swirl removers .... no machines as this will create lots of heat .

Do you have pictures so we can get an idea of what you are dealing with?

Basic rule is if you can't feel the scratches with your finger, you can remove them with a DA Polisher. If you can feel the scratches with your finger, you're going to have to wet sand. If it is through the clear, you're going to have to repaint.

There are a few polishers that are safe to use on paint and don't generate too much heat. A Porter Cable is your safest bet.

arnt those emblems put on with 2 sided tape?

i am not sure, they feel pretty solid.

i will post pictures when i can get it in light and out of storage, they are no deep enough to catch a finger nail, and are around the Allen screws and the stereo hole.

Get a body shop to look at it. It is just black paint. Our dealer has painted a few, you can buff the paint. The emblem is put on with two sided tape. If you use a heat gun it will come off.

thanks needed that info on the bezel plaque, the scratches are not into the paint just the gloss clear coat
