2010 Gts Blue With White Stripe Coupes

how come there offering GTS blue with white stripes on the coupes for 2010?? i thought they were never going to offer that color combo because of the 2006 first edition coupes??

Your right. After your comment about the stripe width I took another look as I thought it might be transportation white protection tape but guess it really is the stripe. It looks way too wide at least in the photo.

Bingo, knew I had this picture saved somewhere. The stripe design came from the Comp Coupe (Which came from the GTS/R concept, concept was in 2000, Comp Coupe appeared in 03', SRT coupe in 05') This car was at VOI. 8 or 9 if I remember correctly.

I took the pictures when I went on my CAAP tour 5-7-10 those cars in the pictures have been sold and waiting to be shipped

And that's exactly why I took delivery of a brand new 2009 in late December of last year. Do like the stripes going through the plate area though.

And there was a lot of negative comment about the stripe width and the design of the rear of the body. Design took heed of the constructive criticism from VCA members and made changes before releasing the coupe for the 2006 model year.

In 2006 the first 200 coupes were done in "GTS Blue w/ White stripes." They called them "First Edition" and they were numbered. Chrysler said they would not do this color combo again.

Technically.. This is not the same color. I believe the Stripes are bright white NOT Stone white as featured on the 2006, right?? The same thing happened in reverse to the VOI9 car. They made a 2009 in Bright White w/Bright Blue stripes. But parked next to a VOI9, the look was pretty similar. And they also made a 2009 Red/White which was similar to the VCA edition Coupe.

Its all good... Bottom line, this is a business. A business that needs to SELL cars... If B/W and wider stripes sells cars. Bring it on. We all know color is a HUGE factor in selling Vipers.

BTW- those wider stripes look unreal.. Especially that ACR. those 2010 ACRS'a are going to be gold... nice job.

In Chrysler's defense ( and remember it is essentially a new company ) the color combo came out and then it was pulled . Some of us lucky Dealers got some of these beauties though and they are technically slightly different. I think it was a simple case of the new guys did not know of a 4 year old agreement and when they found out it was too late----but it did limit the number of cars to a small amount ( we only got 4 at that).

I did see one in person. 2009 bright Red/bright white stripes with 6 spokes, and it was a new car. But It is very possible the dealer painted them on.. So, I may stand corrected on that. They did look very good though. Spacing/width,etc looked factory. But come to think of it. I only ever saw one... so..

Dealer add-on, I remember the car. The guy sold it shortly there-after. I believe it was a Ringgold car.

yes, that was the one. It had an aftermarket stereo and full dynamat for sound. Nice looking car. my bad..
