2014 GTS idle

I just bought my first Viper about 3 weeks ago, my question is, what is the idle suppose to be at? My car idles at approx 1000 rpm and in my opinion is pretty high. The dealership service dept. where i purchased the car said that was normal operating rpm range. Any thoughts?

The dealer is correct. The idle will drop down to 700 to 750 after 1000 miles. It is part of the controller's programming to make sure the rings seat properly.
