D-C will only do a warranty for 95 and newer Vipers. 95 only until 12-31-02! You should be able to get a D-C warranty for 48 additional months and 48 thousand additional miles for $2,200 to $2,400 with a $200 deductible. Bill P. is a good choice.

Thanks for the information, I'll follow up on it. I thought it would be a good thing to go with warranty through Dodge, but if it is that high I'll go aftermarket. I was hpoing to get coverage for at least four years...

Thanks again for the replies..

Seems a bit high. Talk to some of the dealers who post here. They might be able to help.

call this person...he has a great reputation here and might be able to steer you in the right direction.

Ditto - Bill Pemberton - Woodhouse Dodge

OR

Chuck Tator - Tator's Dodge - South Salem NY

I don't think I would go with a warranty for that kind of money
on such a low mileage Gen II car. If you could get a warranty
for a reasonable amount of money maybe?

good luck,

Then he said that for the car I was looking at, a '96 RT with 5,000 miles a 2 year warranty would be $4109.

I hope they lubed the price for you?

Ask BillP or myself and you'll get the same answer!

What you are dealing with is a concern based on the Florida Insurance Commission. You live in a non- rebate state, which requires Dealers to charge a set rate, and they can not discount for any reason, as they would be subject to huge fines. The simple answer is buy out of state, as you would not be subject to the laws of Florida. Best of luck.
