Florida,
Equals one good time on the street. 99 percent of my driving is on the street. The 3.55 flys with the Roe supercharger. From a dead stop in the quarter mile I do not know if its faster but from a slight move which is usually where I need the power its unbelievable, first through fourth. Its always a fine line between spinning and traction and thats a great line to run through the power band.
Many have emailed me about going back to the 3.07. But this is a strong combination. Vipermed is the only one who has driven my car and can vouch for the combination.
I see many people think that you get what you pay for in regard to a S/C. But with the Roe charger I got a lot more than I paid with NO detonation (MSD).
Unfortunately I did not get Kenny's tires breaking free in 4th at 95mph power. Sean must have saved the really stong S/C for
the yellow cars.

King, I agree, I have the same set up and find the 3:55 gears
great with the S/C. But, I have to think that there are several posts on this site that are just full of BS. I think that all of us realize that there is no one out there spinning tires in 4th gear at 95MPH. I really have to question some of the post that have been made about a yellow GTS and how fast it goes. I have not had any detonation without the MSD box and yet I know that at 6000 rpm at 45 degrees I have not spun the tires going into 4th. Also, who here believes that a 68 Dodge pulled the front wheels for 400 feet, I know the Viper Tech and his car, he is very straight forward and would never put out such BS. I think that being on the computer, unknown to others, leads some people to BS far beyond their means to live up to. We all love our Vipers, but, we do not have to lie about the cars performance, maybe the drivers perfomance but not our cars. Lets get to the truth, has the driver or the Viper tech driven the car the fastest? Just tired of the BS.

For the record, I've had both rear tires light up in 4th gear at an (indicated) 120 MPH on a recent cold morning. That's with 3.07 gears, 19" wheels & new 345/30 Pilot Sports, and no NOS. Woke me RIGHT up

It's a little-discussed fact that '01 "Race Yellow" seems to attract bees and other insects like nothing else I've owned. The color must be close to flower yellow, especially in the near-ultraviolet. Caveat emptor, should you proceed with trading in your Sapphire car

I'll spin 'em regularly if I need to at over 100mp, in fact, with this colder weather and LOTS more power, I went sideways in 4th grear, Dunno what the speedo said, but when I looked down about 2 seconds later, it said 160mph (1 am in the morning and not a car on the road on a 6 lane highway), stock 3:07 gears
160 mph is a new record for me, fastest I've EVER been in a car.

I think that 3:55 gears are ok, but if you're pushing sick power, it will make 1st, perhaps 2nd USELESS... IMHO.
3:07's are hard enough to learn.

The rear end of my Viper was a little squirrelly at 95 MPH & I interpretted it to mean that I had a loss of traction with the rear tires at 95 MPH. The air was around 36 degrees, the engine was making a lot of power and the road was cold and not having its usually traction. Also there was some leftover salt on the road from the snowstorm from the week before. I have spun my tires with a chirp going into 4th gear before at 4000 RPMs BEFORE I had my supercharger installed, BTW. I am not trying to BS anyone intentionally.

Enjoy that power now guys, when summer hits, you'll discover what it's like pushing 90 degree into the supercharger.. it *****, literally. Definate loss of power and feel. Yuck!

Mine made nearly 800RWHP in 90 degree heat, no icing of the intercooler, no fan in front of the intercooler and with the air filter on. It's about 50 degrees here at night and WOW!!!!

That hot weather is a bummer if you don't have an intercooler! Even if you do have an intercooler, it's still a bummer..
