Originally a GTSR block, not sure about who originally did the heads, Exotic in Reno built it with a Gen 3 intake, cam and all the stays-together-at-7500 rpm goodies. I have the rev limiter set for 6200 (because I'm a *****) and use the red light (6200) as a shift light.

Will update after the Striker heads go on....... broke a head at the track in December - more flow = more go ;-)

Those GTS-R heads must've been very good, put the Striker heads on, added bigger Injectors, modded the fuel rails and swapped coil packs and only pulled 641 @ 6500. Can't feel that difference (between 626 and 641) so who cares.....only reason for posting Is for anyone with those GTS-R heads, don't bother with Strikers unless yours break.....they're pretty good!

Did you get the street Strikers or the race head. It seems to me that your application would benefit from the race head. Is that beast running a dry sump, if so, who's set up did you or Exotic go with?

They must be the street Strikers since I only squeezed 10 more WHP out of the thing (636 RW) with bigger injectors, upgraded coils and the Strikers. It is dry sumped but it doesn't look like a kit (it was done in 1998 before I had it) as the bottom cover looks like it was bespoke CNC's from billet. I may have pix somewhere if you want to see it.

Balanced Performance in Sugar Hill GA did the tune. The suggestion was that 20-30 more could be achieved through aggressive fuel management and higher rpm, but its a road course car and there's really no need to put it on the edge for that purpose, especially given the driver's limited ability ;-)

Balanced performance? Thats the shop tat did my break in. I have a "mild" 1996 RT that Balanced and NMG (the machine shop behind them) helped m build. Where do you run your car.. Part of GA Viper Club?

Yes, I run at RA, Barber, CMP, RR and have visited a bunch of tracks in the northeast as well.

Balanced is the shop that has the dyno and they do some good work. Tuning is usually done by Ed Senf.....if you know road racing from LeMans to Grand AM you know Ed. He's amazing with an AEM and God-like with a Motec.
