As many noticed from reading my thread posted Sunday, my Viper ACR Black/Silver was totaled Sunday night. I found the EXACT car in Cleveland, OH, bone stock, one owner 2,000 miles for sale. Is there any VCA members up there than can possibly check it out for me?? I spoke with the owner on the phone, it sounds like it has been cared for but the m aintantence on a car that didn't have any driving would be important I would guess.

Here is the car

thanks guys. I responded to your ***. I saw the one in Ft Lauderdale, they want $50k for it and it has like 9k miles. I think I like the Cleveland one better because it doesn't have the exterior appearance modified. here it is.

Couple of things.. 1st that black stick on sh*t he put in the middle of the front facia and the rear bumper is total ghetto *** Crap !! Then they move on to deface the car more with some 80s style pin stripe swirl marks? What the F***!!! Then they top it off with completely REDICULOUS and worthless and neon looking (actually i'd take offence if I owned a neon too) chrome plastic door guards?? Like someone is actually going to RISK dinging their viper door into another car.... what a total piece of Sh*T that car is.

I hope it actually burns to the ground instead of someone buying it. Put it out of its ghetto missery !!

Oh and ACRs while they never came with Fog lights are EXTREMELY easy to pop factory ones in. I did it to my 02. It takes 2 Relays, 2 Fog light assemblies and 2 pig tails. All direct plugins.

I almost bought that car. I would steer clear but that is just my honest opinion. The car has NEVER been serviced since new. After questioning the owner on it he back pedaled and said it was done once. You can also contact the web site owner Nick from www.greatoldcars.com about it as he was trying to sell it when I loked at it. The owner also would not allow me to have it looked at by a dealer which was another red flag. He is also a real @$$ #01& and VERY difficult to deal with. Feel free to PM me for more info. Needless to say I am glad I passed on it. It also looked like it traveled back and forth to the barn on a dirt road one too many times IMHO. The price seemed right at 53 when I was looking at it but still glad I passed.

OH MY GOD, now he wants 57.5 for it. Be very careful dealing with the owner. I almost drove 8 hours only to find out that he was not going to let me have a dealer view the car. It also has all of the service bullitens outstanding for the belts and something else. Can't remember what the second one was. Call somebody like Pemberton or Tator and have them run the service history and recalls on it. 8 years is a LONG time for never having the oil changed IMHO. :crazy2:

If you do go for it, best of luck to ya.

I was looking to buy the yellow GTS at the same dealership and could have bought either one for $48K two weeks ago, plus a $500 "dealer fee". I ended buying the 01 Bumble Bee that was listed for sale in Florida with 10K miles.

I spoke to Tator about the Ft. Lauderdale car and he informed me that it has 3 pages of service work that has been done to it. Sounds like a lot for a car with 9k miles. Rick Case also orginally told me that the Nascar badges were from the factory as part of the ACR package. I laughed my ass off on the phone @ the guy.
