A real Viper, it still clunks!

I had the clunk with the '99 RT/10. I had the clunk with the '02 GTS. Now I have the clunk with the '03 SRT. Anyone else? There's no reason that this should still be here on a new car. Please, no answers about how a real sports car should have race car sounds.....the SL55 doesn't clunk, the Z06 doesn't either. I have adapted my driving style to avoid the noise, but when other people drive my car, they don't know the 'gentle throttle technique' and it's embarassing! Any gear, 25% throttle, then back off and back on the gas....clunk, clunk, clunk!

I got worse than clunks,got a bad noise on passenger side of engine when I cut off the engine ,started last night,only has 1600 miles on engine,have to see when I get off work if it still does it.Hope it was a one time thing if not will have to take to dealer tomorrow.

Read the members only forum. It discusses the clunk, and DC says it is normal. I don't defend, only report what them folks say.

Sounds like Vipers are "clunkers".
