Hey guys I have a 96 rt 10 and would like to change the belts to 5 point ACR harnesses as seen on Tator's websight. I do 2-3 track days a year and the standard belt lets me slide a little more than I would like.
1. How much are the belts themselves?
2. Do my seats need to be changed for the shoulder and crotch straps?
3. Is this an easy install?

Thanks in advance

1. Not sure I bought mine through a vca member. I think I paid $100+

2. No, Not sure about the 96 but mine already had the threaded holes in place.

3. Yes and No. Easy put it takes longer than 20 minutes:) I did both seats in my 2000 GTS. I took me a day but If I did it again. 4 hours, accounting for beer breaks.

Well if you do any real organized road track events most of the
ACR belts have long expired now. If you want a nice set of simple
5-points Teamtech offers some reasonably priced setups. I bought
mine from JonB who also sells the eye hooks you'll need for
instillation. They also have a range of colours to choose from.

You can also check Snakeoyl's web, (in the marketplace section) they have very nice 5 points in all colors for about $450/set. They will also install them for you. No need to change your seats, stock ones work perfectly well. PM me if you're interested in going for a scenic ride up there this spring.

I have the Team Tech in mine and have them tucked under and behind the seat when not in use. Check the "Illustrated Upgrade" for the post by Henry and Janni Cone to see how to do the install.

I remember hearing that Team Tech will exchange them when you need a newer set. Does this sound right?

Last set on ebay went for $950 if I remember correctly.

Big money for something illegal to use on a road car.

PartsRack has new and used, take-out ACR harnesses. (authentic)

But they WONT pass tech at most bona-fide, sanctioned track events.

We can do a BETTER HARNESS than the 'others mentioned' for under $175 /seat.

We can do top-of-line TEAM TECH, fully padded, 6pts (recommended) with numerous custom features (trim, stitching, pull-up, etc, etc) for under $300 each !

When ACR / GT-2 harneses were under a Fed recall, ONLY PARSTRACK was D-C authorized to supply timely replacements to those customers, til Dodge dealers had stock available over 1 year later! [we DO KNOW Viper harnesses, thanks ! ]
