An interesting thought on Dyno numbers .... noticing that the car doesn't actually move during a dyno test, you can see the exhaust gets quite hot ... I would imagine that some of that heat gets dissipated via air passing over it while in motion
So, if you have a supercharger that forces air into the engine vs a NA car that would normally have air forced in by speed ... isn't the NA engine at quite a disadvantage on a dyno such that since the air isn't being forced in via groundspeed, it relies on what the engine ***** :)

Have never had mine on a dyno, so I don't know if this is accounted for or not?

Thanks

I'm not sure I fully understand you, but don't most dynos have a large fan in front of the car?

That is the part that I don't know .... if there is a fan, how fast is it .... I would think that doing 60-70 MPH on the road, you would have a significant amount of air being forced into the intake vs sitting still with a fan blowing over the front

A quality 30in blower fan can easily flow that of driving at highway speeds especially since most of the time the fan is placed right in front of the bumper. Even without a fan or a smaller one, the difference isn't going to be that much compared to driving as long as the shop is kept at a cooler temp. Now on a hot summer day, yes the car heat soaks faster and you get lower numbers with or without a fan though a fan will help. Also on a dyno the car isn't moving so there's not as much load as compared to street driving pushing the full weight of car and driver.
