Wish the torrential rain would allow for more time on the new tires but I figured I'd add my immediate .02 for those considering the change to PS2's from PS's.
There is a noticable ride difference (even the steering wheel vibration is reduced). Smoother ride with less road noise. A surprise to me, it is more noticable than I would have expected. Same 29 PSI all the way around (not sure what's appropriate pressure for the 2's yet) and typical bumps are softer. Biggest improvement is that the car doesn't climb "lane walls" nearly as much as before (you know when theres a major "W" carved into the asphalt and your Viper changes lanes all by itself).
Anyway, I will need far more miles to comment further, especially about handling and road grip, but if you're considering the change, don't hesitate.
For anyone interested, I used Paddock Racing in Havastraw, NY for the tires. Kenny, the owner, is a club member and one of our region instructors at Limerock. Nicest guy you'll ever meet AND he's got all the top of the line Hunter road force mounting and balancing equipment.
