Awhile back I posted I needed AEM tuning and thank you for all the replies. Well for some reason I figured I'd check the spark plugs. I went to pull the 1st plug wire off to get at the plug & it crumbled in my hand. (as did several others). My wires were fried! Some of the plugs were black(from running rich). So I put on these new plug wires called LIVEWIRES which are guaranteed up to 1400 degrees,(they come in different colors) and took the car out for a spin. Problem solved! Car's back to normal and Air/FUEL ratio is good. So always check the obvious things before commiting extra money/work!

Yes it gets fairly hot. I checked it one time with one of those laser temp guns & it was over 500 degrees near the header/spark plug area. I got my wires from www.performancedistributors.com for around $150. They come in different colors too. They also fit very well over the NGK spark plugs where it was very difficult with the Mopar wires. I still put the bootys on as an extra precautionary device.

Hi,
Mark, John H. actually gave them to me but I know Jon B. at Parts Rack has them for sale also. They are just the cloth boots you pull over the plug wire at the spark plug end. Good luck!
