I bought a 2005 Silver Mamba convertible earlier this year. Love it. My wife would never ride on the back of my motorcycle (now sold, no tears about this) but loves to ride around in the Viper. I am allready thinking about someday (can't do financially at present) getting a Gen IV hard top. I love the convertible but also love the way the coupes look. I think they are as much a great car as a fine work of art. The folks at dodge got this right. I hope when the Gen V comes out that it still has pipes on the side, the V10, and the sound that only a Viper can make. So yeah, I may be crazy but I really think that these cars a great investments and will hold their value over time. Therefore there may be another one joining the family in the near future. You guys that have more then one, what do you think????

You can't have too many vipers !!! :)

On a more serious note, everyone that I have driven is a litrtle different...and that is especially true comparing Gen I, "Gen 1.5", early Gen II, mid GenII, late GenII, Gen III, and Gen IV's...ALL unique, all different...let alone ACR's and the verts vs. coupes experience.

Bottom line...in my opinion...if you reach a point when you can comfortably do it....DO IT !!!!!

Those of us who saw the G-5 Mock-up at Salt lake saw Sidepipes. We were told a V-10 was the plan.

You could consider a removable hard-top for your SRT.......

Other than specific models like the 92 and the 98-GT2, Vipers are NOT "Great Investments" and not even mediocre investments. But as a retained % of MSRP, they are usually in the top-10 at holding their depreciated value. The funds spent on a 92 or a GT2, if 'invested' would be worth far more than the Viper.....but the fun factor is PRICELESS.........

Welcome and Good Luck. be careful w/ the gas pedal, and DO BUY GOOD NEW TIRES

I really enjoy the Gen3 vert and the Gen 4 coupe. They are very different cars and I love the fact that they are hand built and very rare. There were 117,000 vettes built from 1963 to 1967--the best vettes, yet there have only been less than 27,000 Vipers from 1992 till 2010. Enjoy your car--My wife also likes the Vipers--Dave
