Just saw on the race site that the Lemans series handed out 1.7 million in price money. It also said a portion, not big enough, went to the American Viper Racing Team. Way to go guys. Now if they can get some real race tires maybe we can kick some Vette asp....I hear that is a major factor to the team , as the Vette team has factory tire sponsors.

The way I heard it from an AVR driver was just plain old tires...AVR can't get the Michelins. The Michelins are so good the Audis can double stint them sometimes. The Michelins seriously helped Oreca in the past against the Bowtie boys

Sadly, AVR is a poor follow-up to Oreca. I had to turn the TV off last time I viewed them spinning out of control with no one around.

You guys, have had your hands full for sure. I guess it is disappointing to some, but they fail to realize the cost and hard work a privateer team faces versus having huge sponsorship of factory backing. Hope you guys have a banner year and it sure would be nice if even DC would back you just for getting the tires!!!!
Good Luck!!!! Plenty of us rooting for you!
