I found one of these a week ago at K-Mart I believe. It's a really nice color and has gold stripes. It's one of my favorties in my collection so far.

That's actually the 2nd in the series (a very dark purple with gold stripes).

I've found the HW Classics series to be rather elusive in my area. I've looked through countless racks of Classics and thus far, never seen a Viper. Tons of other cars but no Vipers.

A hint for people looking for the classics (at least the red ones). Your best best is to check the toy aisle at the grocery store. They're probably a little more price-wise (usually $3.99), but at least they're there.

As for these new colors, not sure if they are hobby-only or not. I got my purple one at a local hobby store - have never seen them at retail.

Got my purple SRT at the local Super K-Mart. They do exist in the retail world.

You mean "in the retail USA", still not one Classic has shown up here of ANY colour. I keep waiting and looking though
